Chapter 17: The Second Floor
Standing right on the platform and opting not to roam around anymore, Azrael's senses were piqued as he felt something peculiar just a few minutes later, his surrounding seemingly twisting and turning, the intensity of this feeling increasing as time goes by, eventually reaching the point where even despite his fairly high tolerance, he couldn't help but feel nauseous as well.
It is clearly not only him that is feeling such thing however as he can also sense the people around him barely keeping themselves up, some of them even falling down the ground, trying their best not to embarrass themselves as they feel like they are about to throw up, or even worse, lose consciousness from the process.
"Please hold on for a few more seconds ascenders, you will all arrive at the second floor immediately" one of the staff facilitating the ascension of the people here reminded, giving some kind of relief to the ascenders in the platforms as most of them thought that they can no longer hold on anymore, the words of this staff coming into reality as not even a few moments later, they felt like this peculiar disorienting feeling completely disappears.
"Welcome to the second floor~" now snapping them out from their stupor as they try their best to forget the uncomfortable feeling, the ascenders from the first floor heard a jovial, feminine voice greeting them from the distance, this person wearing the same uniform the staffs from the first floor wears, a clear indication that they are from the same group.
"Given that this is your first time using the Ascension Platform, I can see that a lot of you are quite unaccustomed to it, yet, well, give it some time and you all will get used to it, now, please follow me, we are going to update your IDs~" seeing the near disheveled state of the majority of this group of ascenders, the staff consoled before returning to her jovial, yet still slightly authoritative tone once again, clapping her hands as she starts guiding them out of the platforms, directing them towards a different room.
'Although, there are some good potentials and talents here as well~' looking at some of the ascenders who managed to endure the nauseous experience of using the Ascension Platform, the lady couldn't help but admire them as even she herself, despite being considered a pretty good talent, feels really bad when she first used an Ascension Platform.
Orienting them about what they are going to do in this room, Azrael found out from the staff that they only need to update their ID, to show more appropriate information about them now, this process did not even take long as it was finished within just a few minutes.
'But that look, they must've thought that staying in the first place for long is weird...' recalling the peculiar expression the receptionist that receives and updates his ID gave him, Azrael couldn't help but shake his head, shoving these thoughts in the back of his mind as he opens the guide, recalling that there are multiple notifications that previously popped up the moment he arrives at the second floor.
[Detected that the ascender has stepped onto a new floor of the tower]
