Climbing the Tower with Time-Stop Ability

Back in my room, I sat in the chair and thought.

“Why did I fail?”

Wasn’t that demon the boss I was supposed to defeat?

Was there some other enemy besides the demon?

If it were simply a matter of there being more enemies, there’d be no reason for it to count as a failure.

But since killing the demon had instantly ended in failure, that meant the demon was someone I wasn’t supposed to kill.

Then could it have been… an ally?

‘But it attacked me out of nowhere.’

If my reaction had been even slightly slower, I would’ve taken a blade to the neck and died.
