The MILFs Club: Special Delivery for my Aunt

Chapter 290: The Trap

Alexander arrived at the high-security TMC hotel, navigating the corridors until he reached the private lounge where Julian had summoned him.

Julian was leaning back on a white leather sofa, his dark shirt unbuttoned halfway down his chest, radiating his usual gigolo aura. His messy white hair was slightly disheveled, giving him a wild look. He swirled a glass of amber liquor, his sharp eyes locking onto Alexander the moment he stepped through the door.

"Welcome, Alexander. Take a seat," Julian said, gesturing to the chair opposite him.

Alexander sat down, keeping his expression neutral despite the intense pressure radiating from the man.

"Did you think we wouldn’t see each other again after what happened in that courtroom?" Julian asked, a low, mocking chuckle vibrating in his throat. "My lawyer told me every detail of your little stunt. You pulled off a very bold move, kid. Tell me, do you have no respect for me, or are you just devoid of fear?"

"I do what’s necessary to survive the sector," Alexander said.

"Well, look how beautifully the tables turn," Julian said, leaning forward as his aura flared, dropping a suffocating weight onto the room. "Life takes many twisted turns, and yet, here you are again, groveling right back to my grid because the system holding your leash commanded it. You might have bypassed the federal hounds outside, Alexander, but inside these walls, your life still answers to me. Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t have you liquidated right now for your insolence."

"So this is just about a personal disagreement between us?" Alexander asked, leaning back with a dry, cold smile. "Abusing control of the sector company directives just to exact a little petty revenge? Wow, Julian. You really are petty."

"Petty?" Julian laughed, his eyes flashing with a dangerous amusement. "Don’t confuse the situation, kid. You are suspected of aiding an extraterrestrial terrorist to escape federal containment. What does my personal opinion of you have to do with that?"

Alexander’s smile widened. He hadn’t wanted to make the first move and yield the advantage, but Julian had just handed it to him on a silver platter.

"I’m glad you brought that up," Alexander said, his voice dropping into a smooth, relaxed rumble. "The federal investigators just finished questioning me about that very subject. But as far as I’m concerned, I was fulfilling a delivery contract for TMC. If—and I’m not admitting to anything—but *if* I escorted someone out of the perimeter, wouldn’t that mean the company itself is the one compromised? That you guys used me as a scapegoat?"

Julian’s eyes narrowed the amusement fading from his face.

"I’m sure the high command will launch a very thorough internal investigation to set a proper example," Alexander continued, his tone sharp and mocking. "And as the regional administrator of this entire zone, I doubt you’ll walk away from that kind of scrutiny clean and intact."

Julian slammed his glass onto the table, his white hair framing a face distorted by sudden, unbridled rage as he stood up.

"Are you threatening me?!" Julian roared, the fury in his voice shaking the lounge.

He understood the implications. It was a cold, brutal fact: if Alexander or any operative under his direct command fell to a federal or high-command investigation for treason, Julian would fall along with them for pure incompetence. After surviving the fallout of the bloody war he had just orchestrated against Big Black, another massive institutional failure under his watch would seal his fate. This time, high command would ensure he didn’t survive.

"I wouldn’t dare threaten you," Alexander said, raising his hands in a faux gesture of innocence while his cold, sharp grin remained fixed. "I was just sharing an occasional, fleeting thought that crossed my mind."

He tossed his secure terminal onto the white leather sofa next to Julian.

"Here is my device, though I assume your tech teams have already run a remote scan on it anyway," Alexander added, his voice dripping with relaxed confidence. "The logs are clear. The last thing I did before heading out to blow off some steam at the casino was execute an official, low-tier delivery mission for this company. And after winning a massive pile of clean cash, here we are, right back where we started."

Julian stared down at the terminal, his chest rising and falling as he forced his explosive rage back under control. He didn’t pick up the device; he already knew his network operators had found nothing but clean casino drafts and standard routing logs. Alexander had covered his tracks.

"You think you’re clever, don’t you?" Julian said, his voice dropping into a low, lethal hiss as he sat back down, smoothing out his unbuttoned shirt. "You weave a neat little web, Alexander. A perfect casino alibi, a clean device, and a threat wrapped in corporate liability."

"I’m just a loyal operative following protocols, Julian," said Alexander, leaning forward and retrieving his terminal.

"Let’s get one thing" Julian sneered, his sharp eyes cutting through Alexander like glass. "High command might not be able to touch you without disrupting the sector’s current truce, and I might have to keep you breathing to protect my own administrative standing. But don’t ever mistake operational necessity for safety. You are on thin ice, kid."

"As long as the ice holds, we both keep our positions," Alexander replied, pocketing the terminal with a casual shrug. "So, if the internal audit on my casino night is cleared and my loyalty is verified, what’s the actual mandate? You didn’t trigger a level 5 emergency override just to complain about my courtroom manners."

Julian’s lethal expression melted into a smooth amused smile. He leaned back against the cushions, the dark aura around him shifting into something unpredictable.

"Of course not," Julian chuckled, his voice laced with pure, mocking satisfaction. "In fact, I can activate that emergency level 5 protocol for a different reason."

Alexander’s eyes narrowed, his body tensing. "For what reason? What do you mean?"

"A direct promotion to Orange Rank," Julian said, his white hair framing a grin that made Alexander’s skin crawl. "Putting you right above your little friend Marcus. Doesn’t that sound wonderful? Congratulations on your promotion, Alexander."

On paper, the news sounded like an incredible victory, a massive leap in authority within the TMC hierarchy. But as the words echoed in the quiet lounge, Alexander felt a cold, ominous weight drop into the pit of his stomach. Looking at Julian’s dark, victorious eyes, he knew this wasn’t a reward—it was a beautifully wrapped death sentence, and something very bad was about to happen.
