After another twenty minutes, just as everyone was on the verge of collapse, Jiang Si suddenly stopped.

Huang Lijuan had just put the soup on to boil when she witnessed an incredible scene.

A single beam of sunlight was shining directly down on the spot where Jiang Si and the snow wolf were, melting all the snow around them.

They had never seen a superpower user before. Now, suddenly realizing there was something extraordinary about Jiang Si, they were utterly astonished.

Jiang Si’s expression was calm as she focused all her attention on melting the snowpack.

Once a significant amount of snow had melted, Jiang Si immediately called to Huang Lijuan and the others, "Grab something and get this water out of here."

As difficult as their journey had been, they were still carrying pots and pans on their backs, which were perfect for scooping out the meltwater.

Huang Lijuan was now almost certain that the snow wasn’t melting by accident but was Jiang Si’s doing. She excitedly stepped forward to help, some color returning to her face.

With everyone working together, the constantly melting snow was bailed out, and they gradually carved out a staircase of snow leading underground.

The sunlight shone straight down into the opening, revealing a distinct wall.

If they were lucky, the food was right inside.

The previously listless men had regained a bit of strength after drinking the broth. They took turns striking the wall with tools, but they were stumped when they hit the hard structure within.

Jiang Si had already used up a lot of energy, but she had been saving a little in reserve, intending to use it for something big at a critical moment.

Jiang Si said to everyone, including the snow wolf, "Everyone, stand back. Let me handle this!"

Everyone immediately scrambled out of the way, waiting for the imposing Jiang Si to unleash her ultimate move.

It looked pretty terrifying.

Fortunately, Jiang Si didn’t send them down. Instead, the snow wolf took the lead and went into the hole.

After a good while, the sound of the snow wolf dragging something came from the entrance of the hole.

Everyone excitedly peered in, only to see that the snow wolf was incredibly capable. It was dragging out three whole high-grade acorn-fed hams at once.

Even before the apocalypse, they might not have been able to afford it.

The snow wolf excitedly dropped the hams in front of Jiang Si, giving her a look that suggested a deal: one for her, two for it. A very even split.

Jiang Si ruffled the fur on its head and asked with a smile, "Is there more inside?"

The snow wolf nodded. Jiang Si then said to the others, "You can go in and get them. It should be safe."
