"This is Changlan City, a melting pot for international underground forces. This entire county town is under the control of Dark Night Angel. We can rest here without worrying about Dark Spider’s people coming after us. Moreover, all kinds of transactions can be found here, and the weapons these brothers need can all be purchased here!" Xuan Long introduced as they walked into the town.
"Dark Night Angel? The number one mercenary corps internationally?" Jiang Chen asked in surprise, "A mercenary corps can own a city?"
Xuan Long smiled lightly, "This city, technically, lies on the border between F country and G country and doesn’t truly belong to anyone. Dark Night Angel took advantage of this fact and took over, making it their territory."
Jiang Chen nodded in understanding. Many places are like this, when the ownership of an area is unclear, underground organizations often dominate it as their territory. If a nation stakes a claim, as long as there’s proof of ownership, those forces would leave.
Of course, it depends on the country’s power. If a small nation encounters a large force, whether they’d have to leave or pay rent is another story!
Looking around, Jiang Chen nodded to himself.

"That’s a large Beast Fighting Arena where people can engage in animal fights to the death," Xuan Long explained softly. "It’s also the most profitable place in the whole town, with many rich people loving to come here to bet on fights."
