Chapter 197: The Generous Pervert Is Free
Vivian looked at Selvara for a moment, her purple eyes carrying faint amusement. "By the way, how about Damian?"
Selvara glanced at her. "What about him?"
Vivian rested one hand against her cheek and smiled softly. "The Sword Tomb is about to open soon, right? Since he is your precious disciple, shouldn’t you stay near the entrance and guard him?"
Selvara’s expression remained calm. "Guard him?"
Vivian chuckled. "Don’t act like you don’t understand. Once the Sword Tomb opens, many disciples and elders will gather there. If Damian takes out something good, there will definitely be people with greedy eyes."
Violetta quietly looked between the two women.
Selvara’s cold gaze did not change. "He is my disciple. If he cannot survive that much by himself, then he is not good enough."
Vivian blinked.
A second later, she laughed lightly. "How ruthless. Poor Damian."
Selvara said flatly, "He already reached the Golden Core Realm. He also survived my training. If he still needs me standing behind him for every small problem, then I trained him for nothing."
Vivian’s lips curved with interest. "True, but he is your only disciple, right? I think a little protection would still be good."
Selvara heard that and sighed. "Vivian... it is useless if I am there. If I stand near him, he will behave for a while, pretend to be proper, and then complain inside his heart."
Vivian’s smile became more playful. "And if you are not there?"
Selvara’s eyes narrowed faintly. "Then he will flirt freely with every beautiful woman near the Sword Tomb entrance."
Vivian paused.
A moment later, she nodded with deep understanding. "Ah. Yes. That does sound like Damian."
Violetta’s cheeks warmed slightly.
Selvara’s voice became colder. "That shameless brat is probably already thinking about how many women he can gift before entering the Sword Tomb."
Vivian covered her mouth and laughed. "Then wouldn’t your absence be a blessing for him?"
Selvara looked at her silently.
Vivian’s smile grew brighter. "Without the uptight Master Selvara watching from behind, he can smile, flirt, give gifts, and act like a generous pervert as much as he wants."
Violetta almost coughed.
Selvara’s eyebrow twitched slightly. "Vivian."
Vivian lifted both hands gently. "What? Am I wrong?"
Selvara did not answer immediately.
For some annoying reason, she could already imagine Damian’s face.
That shameless smile.
That fake righteous expression.
That disgusting confidence whenever he saw a beautiful woman.
Selvara’s fingers slowly tightened around her sword hilt. "He better not embarrass me."
Vivian smiled softly. "He will."
Selvara’s gaze turned colder.
Vivian continued with complete confidence. "Not because he is weak, but because he is Damian."
For once, Selvara could not refute it.
A faint silence settled between them.
Finally, Selvara turned back toward Violetta. "Enough about that brat. Focus."
Violetta immediately straightened. "Yes, Grandmaster."
Vivian’s eyes curved gently. "Don’t worry too much. If Damian causes trouble, he’ll probably solve it in the most ridiculous way possible."
Selvara’s voice was flat. "That is exactly what worries me."
Vivian laughed softly.
Selvara ignored her and released a thin thread of sword pressure. "Now let’s start our training."
Violetta took a deep breath and stood firm.
Far away, Damian suddenly sneezed while cultivating.
He opened one eye and rubbed his nose. "Damn. Why do I feel like someone beautiful is talking about me?"
---
The day had finally arrived.
A deep bell rang across the Heavenly Sword Sect, its sound spreading from peak to peak like rolling thunder.
DONG!
DONG!
DONG!
Damian slowly opened his eyes inside his room.
A moment later, an ancient voice echoed through the entire sect. "All Sword Tomb candidates, gather at the Sword Hall."
The voice was calm, old, and filled with authority.
"The Sword Tomb will open soon."
Damian stood up from the cultivation mat and stretched his shoulders.
His Golden Core aura moved quietly inside his body, hidden beneath his robe. "So it’s finally time."
A faint smile appeared on his face.
The Sword Tomb.
He had heard about it for so long that even he was getting curious.
Ancient swords.
Hidden opportunities.
And, most importantly, maybe a few beautiful treasure chests standing around.
Damian adjusted his robe and walked out of his room with relaxed steps.
Selvara was still not on the peak.
Damian glanced around and nodded in satisfaction. "Good. No master watching me. Today already looks lucky."
He immediately headed toward the Sword Hall.
The Sword Hall was located behind the main peak, close to the sealed valley where the Sword Tomb rested.
By the time Damian arrived, many disciples had already gathered.
Most of them were inner disciples and core disciples. Some were calm, some looked excited, and some could barely hide the fear in their eyes.
Damian glanced around lazily.
There were several faces he recognized.
Nolan stood near the front, dressed in clean white sword robes, his expression cold and proud as usual.
Several disciples stood around him, but their gazes toward him were no longer as respectful as before.
Damian’s lips curved slightly.
"Looks like Vivian’s news really did some damage."
A few other unfamiliar disciples stood nearby as well. Some carried sharp sword intent, while others looked like hidden blades waiting to leave their sheaths.
Damian was about to look away when his gaze suddenly stopped.
Not far from the Sword Hall entrance stood a mature and beautiful woman in dark-green elder robes.
Her long black hair was tied neatly behind her head, and her eyes were calm, deep, and sharp, like she had seen too many geniuses rise and fall.
Her beauty was not soft like Vivian’s or cold like Selvara’s.
It was elegant, strict, and noble, like a judge deciding who was worthy to touch the sword path.
The system screen appeared instantly.
---
[Target Detected]
[Name: Elder Mirena]
[Multiplier: 400×]
---
Damian’s eyes almost lit up on the spot.
"Goddamn."
He quickly controlled his expression, but his heart was already shaking.
"Four hundred times? This is basically a top-tier beauty and treasure chest."
Elder Mirena seemed to notice his gaze and looked toward him.
For a brief moment, their eyes met.
Damian immediately showed a polite smile, the kind that looked respectful on the surface but was absolutely suspicious underneath.
Mirena’s expression did not change.
She only glanced at him once before looking away.
Damian rubbed his chin.
"Damn... this target looks hard."
His gaze became thoughtful for a moment.
"Elder Garron, you really picked a steel-hard woman. No... diamond-hard."
At that moment, Mirena stepped forward.
Her calm voice spread through the Sword Hall. "It seems everyone has gathered."
The noisy disciples immediately became quiet.
Mirena swept her gaze across them and continued, "Then let me begin."
