Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny

Chapter 193: Rovan Arrives Too Late

While Damian was crushing the two Third Stage Golden Core cultivators in the courtyard, Garvek had already silently come up from the underground passage.

He did not step out completely.

Instead, he hid behind a broken stone wall near the side corridor and watched from afar.

At first, Garvek only wanted to confirm what kind of lunatic dared attack his base alone.

However, the moment he saw Damian swing that huge black sword and crush two Third Stage Golden Core cultivators in one move, his expression changed completely.

His fingers tightened. "What the hell is this?"

The Black Dragon was only at the First Stage Golden Core Realm, but his strength was completely abnormal.

He did not fight like a normal cultivator.

He also did not fight like an ordinary demonic cultivator.

He looked more like a mad beast wearing human skin, laughing while treating Golden Core cultivators like toys.

Garvek’s face became ugly. "This bastard is dangerous."

He did not hesitate.

The moment Damian started dragging that massive sword across the courtyard, Garvek silently retreated back into the underground passage.

His pride was not worth more than his life.

Fortunately, someone stronger had come from headquarters today.

A Fourth Stage Golden Core cultivator.

Someone who had already stepped into the intermediate stage of the Golden Core Realm.

Garvek quickly entered the deepest chamber, where an older man in dark-blue robes sat calmly with his eyes closed.

The man’s aura was restrained, but the pressure around him was clearly far above Garvek and the others.

Garvek immediately lowered his head. "Elder Rovan, forgive me for disturbing you."

The dark-blue-robed man slowly opened his eyes. "What happened?"

Garvek’s voice became urgent. "Someone is attacking the base."

Rovan frowned slightly. "You woke me for that?"

Garvek quickly said, "He already killed the two Second Stage Golden Core guards."

Rovan’s expression turned colder.

Garvek swallowed and continued, "Just now, he also defeated the two Third Stage Golden Core guards."

The chamber became silent.

Rovan’s eyes finally sharpened. "Again?"

Garvek lowered his head even further. "Yes, Elder. He calls himself the Black Dragon. His cultivation seems to be only First Stage Golden Core, but his strength is abnormal. I suspect he has a powerful background, a special physique, or some kind of hidden inheritance."

Rovan slowly stood up.

RUMBLE!

The entire chamber trembled under his aura.

"Golden Core cultivators are not cabbages," Rovan said coldly. "You lost four in one day?"

Garvek’s face turned pale. "This subordinate is incompetent."

Rovan walked toward the passage, his sleeves fluttering without wind.

"If headquarters hears that four Golden Core cultivators died in a branch base because of one masked lunatic, we will both lose face."

His killing intent spread through the room. "Lead the way."

Garvek quickly stepped aside. "Yes, Elder."

Rovan’s eyes turned toward the courtyard above. "Black Dragon, huh?"

His voice became colder. "Let’s see whether that dragon still dares roar in front of me."

Garvek followed behind him with his head lowered, but his eyes flickered with relief.

No matter how abnormal that Black Dragon was, Elder Rovan was different from those guards.

---

Damian dragged the huge black sword across the cracked courtyard, the blade scraping against stone with a harsh sound.

SCRRRAAAAPE.

The hook cultivator and spear cultivator lay on the ground ahead of him, both covered in blood, their auras unstable and broken.

Damian stopped in front of them and slowly tilted his head beneath the black mask.

"Seriously," he said with clear disappointment. "Two Third Stage Golden Core cultivators, and this is all you can do?"

The hook cultivator coughed blood. "Y-You..."

Damian lifted one foot and stepped on his chest.

CRACK!

The man’s ribs caved in.

Damian laughed softly. "Don’t talk. Weak rats don’t get last words."

The spear cultivator tried to crawl backward, his face pale with terror.

Damian noticed and turned toward him.

"Oh? Trying to run?"

He raised the massive black sword slightly.

The spear cultivator’s pupils shrank. "Wait!"

Damian’s eyes shone beneath the mask. "No."

Just as the sword was about to fall, a terrifying pressure suddenly descended from the underground passage.

RUMBLE!

The entire courtyard trembled.

A cold voice rang out.

"How dare you come here and kill my people?"

Damian paused.

From the dark passage, Rovan slowly walked out in dark-blue robes, his Fourth Stage Golden Core aura spreading like a heavy storm.

Garvek followed behind him, his face filled with hatred and relief.

Rovan’s eyes locked onto Damian. "Masked lunatic, kneel and cripple your own cultivation. If you explain your background honestly, I may let you die with a complete corpse."

The surviving guards immediately regained a little courage.

"Elder Rovan!"

"Elder, kill him!"

"He’s the Black Dragon!"

Damian stood silently for a breath.

Then his shoulders started trembling.

"Hehehe..."

Rovan’s eyes narrowed. "What are you laughing at?"

Damian slowly lowered his sword and looked at the hook cultivator beneath his foot. "You came out just to threaten me?"

The hook cultivator’s eyes widened in fear.

Damian’s foot pressed down.

BOOM!

The man’s chest exploded beneath his boot, and his aura vanished instantly.

The courtyard became deathly silent.

Garvek’s expression froze.

Rovan’s face darkened completely.

Damian turned his head toward him, his voice full of crazy amusement. "Sorry. Were you still talking?"

Rovan’s killing intent erupted. "You’re courting death!"

His Qi exploded, forming a dark-blue tiger shadow behind him.

"[Blue Tyrant Tiger Palm]!"

Rovan shot forward like a furious beast, his palm carrying the pressure of an intermediate Golden Core cultivator.

The air screamed beneath his attack.

WOOOM!

Linsey and Helena, watching from afar, both stiffened.

Helena’s face changed. "Fourth Stage Golden Core!"

Linsey gripped her blade. "Master!"

Damian did not dodge.

He did not even raise his sword.

Instead, he spread both arms slightly and laughed beneath the mask. "Good."

His Chaos Qi rolled around his body like black flames. "Show me if a bigger rat can actually bite."

Rovan’s palm slammed into Damian’s chest.

BOOOOOOM!

The courtyard exploded with dust, stone, and violent Qi.

Garvek’s eyes lit up. "He got hit!"

Inside the dust cloud, Damian’s low laugh suddenly sounded.

"Hehehe..."

Rovan’s pupils shrank.

A black gauntlet slowly reached through the dust and grabbed his wrist.

Damian’s voice came out calm, cruel, and delighted. "Not bad."

His mask emerged from the smoke, tilted like a monster staring at prey. "But still not enough."
