Villainess Breaker: Raising Broken Beauties Against Destiny

Chapter 189: Golden Core Testing Begins

Damian placed the jade slip down and leaned back in the pavilion chair.

For a moment, he did not speak.

Linsey, Helena, Cynthia, and Evelyn quietly waited for him, their expressions serious after reporting Nolan’s movements.

Damian’s fingers tapped the table lightly.

TAK. TAK.

A few breaths later, he suddenly looked at the four of them. "Aside from Nolan and Fionel, do you have any good targets?"

Linsey blinked. "Good targets?"

Damian’s lips curved slightly. "Yeah. Someone dirty enough to kill and annoying enough that nobody will cry too hard if he disappears."

Helena’s expression turned strange. "Master, that is a very specific requirement."

Damian waved his hand. "I just broke through to Golden Core. Naturally, I want to test my new power."

His eyes shone with clear excitement.

After all, he also had a new martial art.

Of course he wanted to test it out.

Linsey thought for a moment before her expression slowly changed. "There is one."

Damian immediately looked at her. "Oh?"

Linsey’s gaze became colder. "He was one of the partners of the bastard who hurt us before."

The atmosphere in the pavilion sank at once.

Helena’s hand quietly tightened.

Linsey continued, "He wasn’t the main one, but he helped provide hiding places, servants, and information. Without people like him, that bastard couldn’t have kidnapped so many girls so easily."

Damian’s expression slowly lost its playful edge. "What cultivation?"

Linsey looked at him. "Golden Core Realm."

Damian’s eyes brightened again. "Good. That’s perfect as a test subject for my new power."

Helena glanced at him. "Master, you became excited very quickly."

Damian leaned forward and rested one elbow on the table. "Of course. A dirty bastard, Golden Core cultivation, and a personal connection to your revenge? That is not just a target. That is a gift from heaven."

Linsey’s eyes sharpened, but there was also a dangerous excitement inside them.

Damian turned toward Linsey and Helena. "You two will come with me on this trip."

Linsey immediately stood. "Yes, Master."

Helena paused for a breath before nodding. "Understood."

Damian glanced at Cynthia and Evelyn. "You two stay here. Continue watching Nolan. Don’t move unless something urgent happens."

Cynthia lowered her head. "Be careful, Master."

Evelyn’s voice was quiet and cold. "Don’t let him have an easy death."

Damian laughed softly. "Don’t worry. If he really helped hurt my women, a clean death might already be too generous."

Helena’s expression became heavier after hearing that.

For the four of them, the people who had helped that bastard were not innocent bystanders.

Without people like them, many girls might never have been dragged into that nightmare.

Damian stood up from the pavilion chair and adjusted his robe.

His Golden Core aura leaked faintly, carrying a pressure that had not been there before.

Linsey looked at him with bright eyes.

Helena’s grip around her weapon became firmer.

Damian walked toward the courtyard exit, his robe fluttering behind him. "Alright, Linsey. Show me the way."

Linsey stepped beside him at once. "Yes, Master."

Damian’s grin became colder. "Let’s see if this Golden Core villain can satisfy my hunger."

---

Damian and the other two were now running along a mountain path.

The surroundings were quiet, with only the sound of wind brushing past their robes and their footsteps tapping lightly against stone.

Since the silence felt a little too stiff, Damian decided to start a conversation.

He glanced at Linsey. "So, who exactly is this bastard?"

Linsey’s expression turned colder. "His name is Garvek."

Damian rubbed his chin. "Garvek, huh? What background does he have?"

Helena shook her head. "Not much. He isn’t from some big family or powerful sect."

Linsey continued, "He’s more like part of an underground group. Their main business is helping bastard young masters from cultivation families with their wicked hobbies."

Damian’s eyes narrowed slightly. "So basically, bandits with better clothes."

Helena nodded. "More or less."

Linsey’s fingers tightened around the hilt of her short blade. "Their job is basically helping those bastards abduct people. Garvek isn’t the leader, but he is one of the branch chiefs."

Damian’s expression became calmer.

That kind of person was sometimes worse than the main villain.

The main bastard gave the order, but people like Garvek made the nightmare possible.

They arranged the roads.

They hid the victims.

They bribed the servants.

They cleaned the blood afterward and pretended nothing happened.

Damian looked ahead. "Where are we going now?"

Linsey answered, "Garvek’s base. It’s hidden near Black Stone Market."

A moment later, Damian asked, "How many Golden Core cultivators are inside?"

Linsey and Helena exchanged a look.

Helena answered first. "According to our information, five."

Damian raised his brow. "Only five?"

Linsey nodded. "One First Stage Golden Core, which is Garvek. Two Second Stage Golden Core cultivators. Two Third Stage Golden Core cultivators."

Damian’s lips slowly curled.

Five Golden Core cultivators.

For ordinary people, that would be terrifying.

For newly advanced Golden Core cultivators, it should have been dangerous.

However, Damian only felt excitement rising in his chest because he had cheats.

Most importantly, these people were not true geniuses.

No matter how many dirty tricks they had, they were still just underground rats and bandits.

Damian stretched his fingers, and faint chaotic light flickered around his knuckles. "Good enough."

Linsey looked at him. "Master?"

Damian’s grin turned sharp. "After all, they’re just bandits. No matter what, they won’t be as good as me."

Helena’s mouth twitched. "Master, your confidence is really terrifying sometimes."

Damian laughed softly. "No."

His eyes turned cold as he looked toward the direction of Black Stone Market.

"What’s terrifying is what happens when they realize I’m right."

Linsey’s gaze shifted toward him for a moment.

For some reason, hearing those words made the coldness in her chest ease a little.

Before, Garvek had been someone they could only hate from a distance.

Even knowing his name had felt painful.

They had known where he moved, what routes he used, and how many guards protected him, but none of that mattered when their strength was not enough.

Now Damian was walking toward him like he was going to test a new toy.
