Chapter 184: The Fangirl Secret Returns
Damian looked at Linsey, Helena, Cynthia, and Evelyn, his expression turning a little more serious.
"With your new Royal Grade Physiques, becoming Golden Core cultivators should be much easier than before."
The four women immediately straightened.
Linsey’s eyes still carried excitement from her new transformation. "Really, Master?"
Damian nodded. "Of course. Your foundations have all improved. If you still fail after this, I’ll really start wondering whether you four secretly hate success."
Helena’s mouth twitched. "Master, can you encourage people normally?"
Damian waved his hand. "This is my normal encouragement."
Cynthia lowered her gaze and smiled softly. "We understand. We will not waste your gifts."
Evelyn nodded quietly. "We will break through."
"Good." Damian folded his arms. "Until I call you again, you can freely do what you want."
His gaze sharpened slightly. "Just don’t expose yourselves and don’t cause a disaster inside the sect."
Linsey laughed lightly. "We won’t, Master."
Damian raised one finger. "However, I still have two missions for you."
The atmosphere changed instantly.
Helena’s expression became steady. "Please command us."
Damian raised one finger. "First, keep an eye on Nolan."
The four women’s expressions shifted.
Cynthia tilted her head slightly. "The Sect Master’s disciple? Why?"
Damian nodded. "Yes, him. That bastard hates me to the core because he’s jealous of my fame, my charm, and my excellent luck with ladies."
Helena stared at him. "Master, that explanation sounds very biased."
Damian looked offended. "Biased? It is completely accurate."
Linsey’s eyes sharpened slightly. "If that’s the case... do you want us to kill him?"
Damian immediately shook his head. "No, no, no."
He tapped the table lightly. "Just watch him and report everything to me. What he does day to day, who he meets, where he goes, and whether anything strange happens around him."
Evelyn’s voice turned colder. "Understood. Observe only."
"Good." Damian raised a second finger. "The second person is from the Great Flame Sect. Her name is Fionel."
Linsey blinked. "Another woman? Do you want us to recruit her into the harem?"
Damian’s mouth twitched. "No, no, no. Of course not. How the hell did you even think of that?"
Helena gave him a flat stare. "Master, your record with women is always flirting first and explaining later."
Damian coughed. "This one is different. You know my disciple Vulkara, right?"
The women nodded.
Damian’s expression became colder. "Basically, this Fionel is my disciple’s enemy. She framed Vulkara and tried to destroy her future."
Cynthia’s gentle gaze slowly cooled. "So she is that kind of woman."
"Yes." Damian leaned back slightly. "As her master, I naturally want to help Vulkara. But don’t kill Fionel."
Linsey paused. "Why?"
Damian’s eyes narrowed. "Because Vulkara needs to get revenge with her own hands."
A faint grin returned to his face. "Do the same thing as with Nolan. Watch Fionel, collect her weaknesses, find out who supports her, what secrets she hides, and anything that can help my disciple take revenge later."
Evelyn nodded. "We understand."
Damian smiled with satisfaction. "Good. From now on, move like hidden blades."
His tone became heavier. "Don’t rush, and don’t leave obvious traces. If you really want to torture bastards, then do it cleanly. Make sure no one can connect it back to you, the sect, or me."
Helena’s eyebrow twitched. "So that is your main concern?"
Damian looked at her like she had asked something stupid. "Of course. A boss must care about organization safety."
Linsey’s eyes curved with amusement. "Master really sounds like a villain now."
Damian lifted his chin. "Wrong. I am a righteous man using villain methods for beautiful women."
Cynthia sighed softly. "That sounds even worse."
---
After leaving the four women’s residence, Damian finally returned to his own peak.
He had been running around for far too long.
Damian stretched his shoulders as he walked through the familiar courtyard. "Damn. I finally came back."
He glanced around.
Usually, Selvara’s sword pressure would be lingering somewhere nearby, sharp enough to remind him that this was not a place where he could act too freely.
This time, however, she was not there.
Damian did not care enough to search for the reason. The moment he confirmed there was no cold sword elder waiting to scare him, he directly ran back toward his own room without wasting another second.
What Damian did not know was that Selvara was actually nearby.
She stood silently behind a distant tree, half-hidden by the shadows, her expression colder than usual.
The moment Damian returned, she had already noticed something.
More precisely, she noticed the lingering aura on him.
The kind of aura left behind after doing the deed.
For a higher-realm cultivator like her, such a thing was not hard to notice.
"This disciple..."
Her fingers slowly tightened.
Originally, she had planned to appear suddenly and scare him a little because it had been a long time since he had come back.
Now, however, she was actually angry.
Very angry.
She wanted to personally do something to him, so she silently followed him toward his room.
Just as she approached the door, she suddenly heard Damian’s voice from inside.
"Okay... I don’t have anything to do for the moment. Let’s see this love letter first."
Selvara stopped.
Her eyes narrowed slightly.
"Love letter?"
Her gaze became colder.
"There is a woman who actually sent a love letter to my shameless disciple? Let me hear it. I want to know which stupid one it is."
Inside the room, Damian opened the old envelope with great interest.
His eyes moved across the first line.
"To the sword that cuts through my heart..."
Outside the door, Selvara’s expression froze.
Damian continued reading, sounding more amused with every word.
"Every time I see your blade dance beneath the moonlight, my soul trembles like a young bird caught in a storm..."
Selvara’s pupils slowly widened.
"Why does that sound familiar?"
Inside the room, Damian’s mouth twitched harder.
He cleared his throat and kept reading.
"Your eyes are colder than winter steel, yet when they look toward the sword, they burn brighter than the sun. I do not know whether I admire your sword or the person holding it more."
Damian paused.
A second later, his shoulders began trembling. "Damn."
He pressed one hand against his mouth, trying very hard not to laugh.
"This letter is so serious. Whoever wrote this must have been completely gone."
Outside the door, Selvara’s face stiffened even more, not because she was angry yet, but because those words struck something buried deep in her memory.
