It is no longer just shock that is coursing through Medea’s mind right now as it starts turning into astonishment watching Novus’ breakthrough, the endless surge of Evolution Energy coursing through him from the orb above his head making her think of something.

’No matter how good Evolution Energy is, it would still be bad for the body if he absorbs too much, right?’ she thought in worry as she looks at the young man’s current state, the calm, collected demeanor he is showing in the surface making it difficult for her to know whether he is in danger or not.

Heaving a sigh of surrender, she restrained herself, one of her fists clenched while her other one on the hilt of her blade, nervously tapping it repeatedly while watching the young man’s breakthrough progress.

Now, it is not just inside his body, but also outside of it, Evolution Energy dances as it refines himself without end, the experience from his previous promotion to E Tier allowing him to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of his promotion even more.

Evolution Energy continues to autonomously refine Novus’ body, all while he himself focuses on guiding his body to better work with the energy, elevating the refinement speed several times to the point that he began catching up with the rate the orb’s energy is entering his body once again.

His mind completely controls his body, and his control allows for the better circulation, for the enhanced refinement of Evolution Energy as it travels, covered, and changed, no elevated his body to a higher state.

There are no longer any excess, but each and every single cell in his body, despite the constant refinement, is still filled to the brim, but this time, it is continuously expending said energy as the rate of refinement rapidly increases once more.

Time passes, and Evolution Energy continues to drain itself away from the orb once revealing the beautiful azure glow above the young man’s head, from the large ball now turning no larger than the size of a lady’s fist.

Then eventually, he heard it, something familiar that once signaled his promotion to the E Tier.

Loud, sharp and resounding crack of shackles and chains being torn apart echoed across his mind, a sound that is all too close, yet also so far at the same time.

Even the last, fist size orb of pure Evolution Energy disappears into his body while he heard those mysterious shackles being broken apart, the final stage of his promotion causing his entire body to tremble as each and every single one of his cells vibrates at the same time.

During his first breakthrough, he was extremely surprised by this comforting feeling, warmth and comfort flowing strong and fast, nearly causing him to let out a groan of relief, but this time, he managed to reign it in, especially considering the fact that the lady watching his breakthrough will tease him to no end should he let such groan out of his being.

Still, that doesn’t mean that it made the sensation any less wonderful.

The vibration fades as if the time for his body’s celebration has come to pass, prompting him to open his eyes as his lips cracked into an excited smile.

There, in front of him, before Medea could even meet him, the floating system screen had already sent its greetings for the advancement of his strength.

[Congratulations. You have been promoted to D Tier.]

Closing his eyes as he starts feeling the changes in his body, the smile starts to widen as he instinctively knew that he is far stronger, far more powerful than he was before his promotion.

His heart beat, powerfully, vigorously as it pumps blood all across his body, each of his organs livelier, filled with more strength than before, so as his flesh and muscles, along with his bones, the structure supporting his physical body feeling even more solid than before.

And making it feel lighter despite the reinforcement, the muscles wrapping around his bones surged with immense power despite its relaxed state, the strength coursing through each fiber of his being seemingly just waiting for the right time to release to wreak rampage across his target.

Despite already finding the changes in his body impressive, what Novus felt the most surprised for is the fact that his senses improved accordingly as well.

’Sensory Expansion’

He barely unfolded his senses to perform Sensory Expansion, but contrary to before, he can already pick up the smallest of details around him, the amount, the acuity of things that he had to use a considerable amount of focus before now needing barely any focus on his part at all.

Aside from his perception, his mental capacity to take in this information gathered by his senses improved as well, the constant headache from letting this influx flood his mind now being a bit more bearable than before, not by much, but still by a significant amount.

As he opens his eyes once more, he was met by another person’s gaze as the lady watching from the distance now started approaching.

His eyes were directed onto her being, stunned, as he watches with his eyes wide open, the faint flicker and motes of light dancing around her being as if an empress with her subject singing praise of her.

That’s when he realized it.

The mana that he once just barely sees through his eyes is now laid clearer than ever before to him, the color of each mote and each speck laid bare to him, all while seeing them flow around his surrounding in a chaotic, yet oddly harmonious dance that he has yet to comprehend.

Still, something in him tells himself that there is more to that chaotically harmonious interweaving of mana than what he can currently see.

Knowing that there is no use to mulling over such matter now however, his gaze, his attention returned to the lady once more, now standing just an arm’s length away from him, allowing him to see her in more detail.

The mana dancing around her being made her color more alive, more vibrant, her smile seemingly brighten than it was before and her eyes glowing with charm, causing the young man to take a gulp of nothing as he tries to calm his racing heart down.

’W-wow...’ while Novus struggles to reign in his rapidly beating heart, the lady in front of him is also trying to do her best in a battle against herself too.

Her hands trembles in a mixture of embarrassment and restraint as she tries her best to distract herself with other thoughts.

Embarrassment from nearly letting herself reach out and touch the young man’s physique out of sheer fascination, and restraint from her being able to stop herself from doing so.

Still, her gaze drifts to his figure, then to his face, every now and then, showing how much her interest is piqued with his development, the interest in her barely being suppressed as he pride grows by the second, allowing her to reign those odd emotions in.

Eventually, she took a deep breath before composing herself, pulling his attention as she faked a cough before she reveals a genuine smile and a word laced with nothing but warm, celebratory tone.

"Congratulations on your promotion, Junior Novus~~"
