Chapter 49 : Training
Hateful.Haruto Itsuki stared at the glowing light radiating from Murasame's blade, frowning deeply. His worry had become reality. The curse seal constantly pushed him to grow stronger, but the foreign chakra from Orochimaru was contaminating the purity of his own.
He focused on Murasame. The blade shimmered and extended, forming a massive white lightsaber about two meters long.
Naruto's eyes lit up. "Boss, that's so cool! Can you teach me?"
Haruto smiled wryly. The lightsaber looked impressive, but its energy was scattered, its sharpness lost. In truth, it was more like a glowing club than a cutting edge. He casually struck a tree. The trunk snapped, but Haruto's frown deepened. Chakra consumption had shot up tenfold.
Naruto bounced excitedly. "Teach me, teach me!"
Sasuke rolled his eyes. "Idiot. Can't you tell Haruto's technique is weaker? He used to slice clean through that."
He turned to Haruto. "What's going on? Are you okay?"
Haruto shook his head. "It's a problem... but I think I have a solution. If I create my own curse seal—copy Orochimaru's method or use someone like Jugo's bloodline—it could work. As long as the chakra remains purely mine. The Sharingan proves that. Orochimaru and Jugo's powers can't be handled by Eight Gates alone. A strong body might delay the effects, but I need to learn the Reaper Death Seal."
Sasuke nodded silently. If Haruto said there was a way forward, he believed it.
Naruto shouted, "That technique's awesome! Boss, you have to teach me!"
Haruto looked at Naruto's eager eyes and sighed. "It takes personal perseverance, and your control's probably too poor."
