Dual Awakening: Elemental and Beast Transformation Paths

Chapter 108: A Chat with Darian and the Others

Countless raindrops fell from the sky, and the surrounding trees swayed in the wind.

When everyone was sleeping soundly, two attractive people were chatting warmly in a simple bedroom.

The young man was lying on his back while the mature lady was in his arms.

Anyone who saw them would know what they had just done immediately because the evidence was still there.

Sex!

Yes, they had just had sex.

The duo was still naked, and some parts of the bedsheet were wet from their love juices, so no one would believe it if they said they did nothing in his room.

Of course, the duo would not deny it if someone caught them.

They were a couple, so it was normal for them to do it.

After all, sex was also a part of a relationship.

"Aveline, how strong is the new head of the Valcrest Village?" Ren asked curiously.

"He is a 2-star shifter." She was startled by his question, but still gave an honest answer. "Why are you suddenly asking that? Do you want to beat him for me?"

She smiled playfully.

"If you wanted to, I would do that." It was only a 2-star shifter, so he could handle it easily.

"I think you misheard me, Ren. He is a 2-star, not a 1-star." She repeated her words.

"My Beast Transformation class has broken through to 2-star, so I'm confident I can defeat him." He explained the reason why he could take care of the new head of the Valcrest Village.

"Really?" she said in surprise.

"Yes." He answered. "Just so you know, when both of my classes were still at 1-star, I defeated a 2-star shifter alone."

"I don't believe you." She had never heard of any awakener defeating someone above their rank, so she didn't buy it.

"You can ask Elara tomorrow if you think I'm lying. She was there when I defeated him." He didn't force her to accept it.

"Then, tell me. How did you defeat him?" she wore a doubtful expression.

"I used my creation skill." He replied. "I called it the Lightning Claw skill. It's a combination of magic and innate ability."

She raised an eyebrow. "Your creation skill?"

"It's like this..." He began explaining everything in detail.

Aveline's expression changed to amazement as she listened to the story.

She knew that he was a special awakener, but she hadn't expected him to have such a great fate as well.

"So, your teacher is the leader of the Nexus Organization, while you joined the Aether Organization?" Her expression softened in understanding.

"Yes." In truth, he was also surprised by his destiny.

He believed there was no one like him, since the Nexus and Aether Organizations were at odds.

If he hadn't awakened both paths, maybe Aria would have expelled him, or Veronica would have stopped teaching him.

It could be said that he was safe because he was not an ordinary awakener.

"It must be tough when your leader and your teacher are in the same place," she giggled softly.

"You are right. It's like standing between fire and ice." He felt the air become heavy whenever Aria and Veronica were in one place.

But even so, he wished they would have a good relationship in the future.

After all, they both were important to him.

"I will ask you one more time. Are you sure you can beat him?" She wanted to ensure he was serious since she didn't want him to get killed by the head of the Valcrest Village.

"Yes." He answered. "I can even defeat a 3-star awakener with the help of my skill, but the percentage won't be one hundred percent. Around sixty to eighty."

Her face blossomed into a smile. "Then, I will be in your care."

"Don't worry. No matter what happens, I will protect you." She was his lover, so he would not let anyone hurt her.

They continued chatting.

Shortly after that, they fell asleep.

At 04:30 am, Aveline headed to her room to change into normal clothes.

Once she finished cooking, they had breakfast together. Elara and Ren strolled around the village after bathing.

Pleasant memories flashed through his mind as he enjoyed the morning atmosphere. Some of the villagers also greeted him, since they treated him like one of their own.

"Elara, let's go to the training ground." He wanted to meet Darian and the others.

"Alright." She agreed right away.

At the same time, Darian and the others were chatting happily in a wooden gazebo. The class hadn't started yet, so they had some free time.

"I hope we will have many new awakeners this year," Sofia said in a hopeful tone.

Alaric grabbed a slice of apple from the plate before finally asking, "Darian, are there any good seeds in the younger generation?"

"No." Darian let out a deep sigh. "Let's just hope they will awaken the Elemental path. Otherwise, it won't be good."

"After Elara's generation, our youngsters have been getting worse year by year." Hayden's expression turned sad. "The other villages have produced many good seeds. If this continues, our future will be in danger."

The other villages hadn't attacked them because they were still alive. But if they passed away or became seriously ill, he could not guarantee the other villages wouldn't attack them.

"If only the younger generation were as good as Elara." Darian sighed again.

"Hmm?" Alaric widened his eyes in shock the moment he caught sight of Elara and Ren. "Hey, isn't that Ren and Elara?"

Sofia and the others turned in the direction where Alaric was pointing.

"It's really them!" Darian's expression instantly turned joyful. "Ren…Elara…"

He waved his hand happily.

Ren's face broke into a smile as he walked toward them.

Once he was close to them, he immediately said, "It's been a long time, instructors. How have you been?"

"We are good! We are good!" Darian answered enthusiastically. "When did you return?"

"Yesterday afternoon," Ren responded.

"Sit down here." Sofia smiled as she tapped the mat beside her.

Ren and Elara sat down next to her.

"How was the test? Did you pass?" Sofia asked curiously.

"Yes. We passed the test." Ren and Elara replied in unison.

"Did you get first and second place like we hoped?" Alaric threw a question at them.

"Yes." Ren and Elara nodded their heads.

"Haha!" Darian laughed. "As expected, you guys are amazing! You even got first and second place in the Pillar Organization test. You didn't disappoint us!"

"You have brought honor to our village, Elara." Sofia was thrilled since Elara was the first to get accepted into the Pillar Organization.

She believed the other villages would be insanely jealous if they found out about it.

"So, why did you return, Elara? Is your organization on break?" Hayden asked.

"I was feeling uneasy, so I returned to make sure my mother and everyone in the village are safe," Elara answered.

"Feeling uneasy?" Hayden said.

"Ah! Now that you mention it, an annoying bastard has been bothering your mother." Darian's face turned angry when he recalled the head of the Valcrest Village.

"Don't worry, Elara. We will protect your mother." Sofia tried to calm Elara down.

"Un." Elara believed in them.

Darian turned to Ren. "Ren, do you still remember our promise?"

"Yes." Ren nodded.

"Then, should we do that now?" Darian asked.
