Maybe I really am a Villian

As soon as Selena finished speaking, an oppressive aura descended upon Cassie, causing the atmosphere around them to become extremely heavy. Cassie’s expression turned grave as she instinctively prepared to use her Domain and abilities to defend herself.

However, before she could even make a move, she suddenly felt an overwhelming sense of danger. Her entire body froze, and she couldn’t move even an inch, as though her very existence was being suppressed by Selena’s presence.

Selena looked at her calmly and said, "Don’t even try to use your abilities or Domain. If you do, you will die, and not even your Time Reversal will be able to save you. I can promise you that."

Cassie couldn’t move, and she didn’t even try. She simply remained still, knowing that the woman standing before her was fully capable of carrying out everything she had just said.

Selena looked at her calmly and said, "Good. That’s how you should behave. Now, it’s time for you to tell me what all of this means. What exactly are you planning? And I hope the reason behind all of this is a good one, or else we might have a problem."

After saying that, Selena suddenly turned her attention toward Olivia before looking into the surrounding.

"And Audrey, come out right now. I know you’re there. Don’t even try to enter my consciousness and play with my memories, or else you won’t have a head left to think with."

Then, a figure suddenly materialized from thin air a short distance away from where Olivia was lying on the ground.

It was a girl with silver hair and a beautiful face. She was also a Grandmaster-rank cultivator. As soon as she appeared, she immediately raised both hands in surrender and said, "Your senses have become even sharper after reaching the Immortal Rank—"

Before she could finish, Selena suddenly laughed.

Two beams of light appeared without warning and shot toward Olivia at incredible speed. The beams struck the air beside her, and a figure emerged from the distortion.

It was Audrey.

Before she could even react, both of her arms were severed by the beams. She hadn’t even been able to defend herself against the attack, as the speed was simply too fast for her to respond.

Audrey fell to the ground beside her severed arms and looked toward Selena. Pain and fear were visible in her eyes as Selena calmly looked down at her.

Selena then said, "You look quite beautiful without your arms. I wonder how beautiful you would look without your head."

She then turned toward Cassie and calmly asked, "Cassie, aren’t you curious about that as well?"

Cassie didn’t say anything. She simply remained silent as Selena turned her attention back toward Audrey.

Selena looked at her and said in a cold tone, "Did you not understand what I said?"

Audrey looked toward Selena and calmly replied, "I understood, and I also followed your warning. I didn’t try to enter your consciousness. I simply created a clone of myself using my will. It was not even enough to fool you for a moment, so I guess I still have some work to do."

Selena stared at her for a moment before speaking in an even colder tone.

"Don’t try to play those games with words. Stay silent and don’t do anything unless I tell you to."

Audrey didn’t say anything further and simply remained silent.

Selena then turned her attention back toward Cassie and said, "Is it another one of those dreams about the future? And even if it is, why are you trying to kill me with such hatred in your eyes, as if I killed your entire family?"

She paused for a moment before continuing,

"Just what did you see in your vision this time?"

Then Audrey, who was still lying on the ground, spoke in a slightly irritated tone.

"Instead of telling you, why don’t I just show you? It would be much easier to understand if you saw it yourself with your own eyes."

Selena then looked at Audrey and said, "Show it, then. And I hope it will be the truth, not some false memory you’ve made up yourself."

Audrey looked toward Selena and then at Cassie. Cassie gave her a slight nod, allowing her to proceed.

Audrey then looked back at Selena and said, "So, can I show it to you? I will need to create an illusion first and interfere with your senses so that you can properly experience it. Is that alright with you?"

Selena simply nodded.

The next moment, the surroundings around the three of them began to change.

In an instant, Selena, Cassie, and Audrey found themselves inside a memory belonging to Cassie.

Within the memory, the three of them found themselves standing above the Capital of the Human Continent. Yet, the magnificent city that should have stood before them was nowhere to be seen.

The entire Capital had been reduced to ruins. Buildings had collapsed into piles of rubble, streets were covered in dust and debris, and the once-busy city had fallen into complete silence. Corpses were scattered throughout the streets, while the remains of destroyed structures filled almost every direction they looked.

At the very center of the ruined Capital stood a single figure.

Her entire body was enveloped in brilliant golden-white light, so intense that she almost looked like a Goddess who had descended upon the world. Her long hair floated gently within the surrounding radiance, while an overwhelming aura spread from her body and covered the entire Capital.

It was Selena.

A massive barrier of light surrounded the entire Capital, completely sealing the city from the outside world. Nothing inside could escape, and nothing from outside could enter.

Within that sealed Capital, Selena continued to attack the civilians without hesitation. Every wave of light she released swept through the ruined streets, leaving destruction in its wake. The people desperately tried to flee, but there was nowhere for them to go.

The sight was completely different from the Selena standing before them now.

The woman in the memory looked less like a human cultivator and more like an incarnation of destruction disguised as a Goddess of Light.
