Chapter 171: Touch some Grass
After that, Asher’s vessels summoned several portable houses from their subspace. They activated the artifacts, and within moments, the small structures expanded into full-sized houses, forming a temporary camp.
None of them had any intention of immediately heading toward the center of the continent.
The center was estimated to be around 2,600 kilometers away from the shore, and covering that distance without resting was neither practical nor necessary. For now, they decided to stay here, recover, and prepare before continuing their journey deeper into the Grimwood Continent.
Before any of the other vessels could reply, a deep voice suddenly echoed inside the minds of every Asher vessel present on the continent.
"Don’t worry. You won’t have to travel to the center. I am going to teleport all of you here now. Don’t try to resist."
The moment they heard those words, every vessel instinctively looked toward the center of the Grimwood Continent. None of them doubted who the owner of the voice was. It was undoubtedly the dragon.
A trace of surprise appeared on their faces. The dragon hadn’t simply transmitted his voice across thousands of kilometers—he had spoken directly into their minds with perfect clarity. And now he was claiming that he would teleport all of them from such an incredible distance.
None of the vessels could even begin to understand how such a feat was possible. Even a Saint shouldn’t possess such terrifying control over space, at least not to this extent. Then again, Asher had never actually witnessed a Saint fighting with his own eyes, so perhaps they really were capable of such things.
At that moment, Asher became even more convinced that the dragon’s strength was far beyond that of an ordinary Saint Rank individual.
At the Center of the Continent
Inside the Dragon’s Lair.
The enormous dragon, who was observing the group of Asher’s vessels from afar, slowly blinked before muttering to himself,
"Does this creature even fear anything? He’s treating me like his personal transportation tool."
The dragon glanced toward the temporary camp the vessels had just set up and thought,
’Should I just leave those houses there?’
He considered it for a brief moment before shaking his head.
’No... that would be far too petty for someone like me.’
After discarding these useless thoughts, the dragon began teleporting the group of Asher’s vessels, along with the portable houses they had just set up.
On the shore.
Asher’s vessels immediately felt space around them begin to distort.
None of them tried to resist.
Even if they did, they knew it would be meaningless. Someone capable of teleporting them across such a vast distance could easily do so regardless of their resistance.
The next moment, the entire group vanished from the shore and reappeared inside the dragon’s lair.
Asher’s vessels immediately looked around at their surroundings. Their portable houses had also been teleported without the slightest damage, as though they had always been there. The lair was enormous, stretching far beyond what the eye could see. It was mostly empty, with no luxurious decorations or treasures scattered around. Instead, countless glowing crystals embedded in the walls and ceiling illuminated the cavern with a soft silver light, giving the entire place an ancient and tranquil atmosphere.
Standing before them was the gigantic Silver Dragon. Even while remaining completely still, his enormous body radiated an overwhelming presence that filled every corner of the lair. Each silver scale reflected the light of the crystals like polished metal, and his mere existence made the surrounding mana flow unnaturally calm, as though the world itself acknowledged him as the ruler of this place.
The dragon’s golden eyes remained fixed on Asher’s vessels. His gaze was calm yet incredibly serious, showing neither hostility nor friendliness. Instead, he observed them in complete silence, as though he were trying to understand something about Asher that had piqued his curiosity. For a moment, neither side spoke, and the only sound inside the vast cavern was the faint echo of their own breathing.
Asher’s vessel was the first to break the silence.
He slowly looked around the enormous cavern once more before shaking his head.
"Your home is quite boring."
His gaze wandered across the empty lair, illuminated only by the glowing crystals embedded in the walls.
"It’s just rocks, crystals, and more rocks. What do you even do here in your free time?"
He pointed toward the cave entrance.
"You should move to the top of some mountain instead. That would be much better. At least there would be fresh air, a nice breeze, and an actual view. Staying inside a cave all day sounds incredibly depressing."
The dragon remained completely silent, his golden eyes fixed on Asher without the slightest change in expression.
The silence lasted for several seconds.
Seeing that the dragon still didn’t respond, Asher folded his arms and sighed.
He looked the dragon straight in the eyes.
"Bro You should touch some grass."
The dragon still didn’t respond.
He simply continued staring at Asher with the same calm, unreadable expression, as if the previous comments had never been spoken.
Silence filled the enormous cavern once again.
After several moments, the dragon’s golden eyes slowly shifted toward the vessel standing at the center of the group. He observed him quietly for a brief moment before finally opening his mouth.
His deep voice echoed throughout the entire lair.
"What do you want?"
Asher’s vessel looked at the dragon before replying in a calm tone.
"I just want freedom and peace."
His expression remained unchanged as he continued,
"The reason I came here is to reach an agreement with you.You won’t interfere with what I do, and in return, I won’t do anything that brings harm to you or your territory."
After a brief pause, Asher added,As long as neither of us crosses that line, there won’t be any reason for us to become enemies."
The dragon looked at Asher for a long moment before finally speaking in his deep, calm voice.
"Stop dreaming. You can’t even reach Grandmaster rank, let alone obtain the freedom you seek. Even I do not possess such freedom, despite being the strongest being in this world."
