Divorced by the Alpha, Claimed by the Rogue

Chapter 72: they will regret this

Aiden’s POV

The torn fabric gave way under my fingers, exposing the smooth skin beneath. I pressed down harder, my body covering hers, driven by a storm of rage and raw need. She was mine. She’d always been mine. I wasn’t going to lose her to Lucian or anyone else.

"Get off me!" Alina snarled, twisting violently beneath me. Her knee shot up, catching me hard in the side. I grunted but didn’t loosen my grip on her wrists. My mouth crashed down toward her neck, teeth grazing skin as I tried to pin her completely.

She bucked again, harder this time, her free leg kicking out. Years of suppressed strength exploded from her. With a fierce cry, she wrenched one arm free and slammed her palm into my jaw. The impact snapped my head back. Before I could recover, she shoved me with everything she had, rolling us until she slipped out from under me.

Alina scrambled off the bed, dress hanging off one shoulder, and bolted for the door. She didn’t look back.

I lunged after her, roaring, "You’re not leaving!" But she was already gone, feet pounding down the hallway.

I stormed out after her, chest heaving, all sense of control shattered. "She can’t leave!" I bellowed, voice echoing through the halls. Pack members froze in place, staring wide-eyed as their Alpha completely unraveled. "I will find her! She belongs to me!"

I shoved past them, bursting outside into the cool night air. There she was—Alina, clutching little Leo tightly in her arms, her face streaked with tears but her posture defiant.

I crossed the distance in seconds, grabbing her arm roughly and yanking her against me. "Give the boy to the guard," I ordered one of my men without breaking eye contact with her. The guard hesitated only a second before stepping forward to take Leo.

"No—don’t touch him!" Alina cried, but I held her firm.

Leo fussed in the guard’s arms as I pulled her closer, my grip bruising. My voice dropped into something dark, demonic, the mask of the composed Alpha long gone. "Look what you made me into, Alina. You turned me into this monster. All I wanted was you... and you keep pushing me until I break."

My hand rose to touch her face, fingers trembling with barely restrained fury and hunger.

A deep, menacing growl ripped through the night. Lucian appeared from the shadows, flanked by Boca—the massive, scarred alpha whose presence alone made lesser wolves tremble. Lucian’s eyes burned with cold fury as he took in the scene.

I released Alina instantly. She darted forward, snatching Leo back from the guard and cradling him protectively.

Lucian stepped between us, voice low and lethal. "I promised I wouldn’t fight you because of Alina. But I’ve changed my mind."

His fist connected with my face in a brutal crack, snapping my head to the side. Pain exploded across my cheekbone. Before I could recover, Boca moved like a freight train—his massive fist slamming into my gut, driving the air from my lungs and dropping me to one knee.

"Take her and the boy," Boca rumbled to Lucian, cracking his knuckles as he loomed over me. "Get them out of here. Leave this pathetic excuse to me."

Lucian didn’t hesitate. He wrapped an arm around Alina, guiding her and Leo away into the darkness while Boca stood guard, his heavy stare promising more pain if I tried to follow.

Blood filled my mouth, metallic and warm, as I pushed myself up from the dirt. My vision blurred for a second, but the rage sharpened everything into focus. Boca stood like a mountain in front of me, arms crossed, his scarred face split into a cruel grin that dared me to move.

I lunged forward with a snarl, but Boca’s massive hand shot out and slammed into my chest, sending me stumbling back. The impact rattled my ribs.

"You’re not going anywhere near them," Boca growled, voice like grinding stones. "Walk away, Aiden. Or I’ll make sure you stay down."

I spat blood onto the ground, chest heaving. My fists clenched so hard my nails drew blood from my palms. "She’s mine," I hissed, eyes locked on Alina’s retreating figure. "That’s my child. You think I’ll just let them disappear into the night?"

Boca stepped closer, his shadow swallowing me whole. "You had your chance. You chose to break her instead. Now you deal with the consequences."

I tried to shove past him again, vision red with fury, but his fist connected with my jaw in a sickening crack. Stars exploded behind my eyes as I hit the ground hard, ears ringing. Through the haze, I saw Lucian help Alina into a waiting vehicle, Leo safely in her arms. The engine roared to life, headlights cutting through the darkness.

"No!" The word tore from my throat, raw and broken, all pretense of being the collected Alpha gone. I crawled forward on my hands and knees, but Boca planted a heavy boot on my back, pinning me down effortlessly.

"Stay," he warned, pressing harder until I felt my spine creak. "They’re gone. And if you know what’s good for you, you won’t follow."

The car pulled away, taillights fading into the distance. I watched them disappear, helpless, the weight of Boca’s boot and my own failure crushing me. Emily’s tear-streaked face flashed in my mind. The pack’s stares. Alina’s victorious smirk at the party. Everything I’d built was crumbling, and it was all because of her.

Boca finally lifted his foot and stepped back, but I didn’t rise. Not yet. I stayed on the ground, breathing hard, letting the cold night air bite into my skin.

This pain, this humiliation—it only fed the darkness inside me. I wouldn’t let this be the end. Lucian thought he could take what was mine? Alina thought she could run?

I’d burn everything down before I let them be happy together.

Slowly, I pushed myself to my feet, wiping blood from my split lip. My eyes narrowed on the empty road where they had vanished.

"They’ll regret this," I muttered under my breath, voice low and venomous. "Every single one of them."

Boca gave me one last warning look before turning to leave, but I barely noticed. My mind was already spinning with plans—darker, sharper ones. The monster Alina claimed I was? She had no idea how much worse I could become.
