Chapter 375: Everything Under Control
Over ten He Family Martial Artists surrounded the room where Lin Yun was staying. The leader made a few hand signals, and soon, the Martial Artists cautiously slipped inside, leaving just one person outside as a lookout.
Lin Yun’s room was pitch-black. The He Family Martial Artists who had snuck in moved very lightly, making no sound at all. The first thing they did was fix their gazes on the bed.
Walking slowly to the bedside, the leader’s Space Ring flashed, and a short sword appeared in his hand. Without any hesitation, he gripped the sword and thrust it into the bedding.
There was no spurt of blood as expected, nor was there a scream from Lin Yun. The man instantly realized something was wrong. He ripped the covers off, only to find no one there.
’Damn it, the kid found out long ago.’ He cursed inwardly. Just as the men were about to retreat, candlelight suddenly flickered to life in the once-dark room.
"Since you’ve already come, why are you in such a hurry to leave?" Unseen until now, Lin Yun was already sitting in a chair. As the candles lit up one by one, the entire room was brightly illuminated.
They looked at Lin Yun in terror. By this point, if these He Family Martial Artists still hadn’t realized they’d been discovered, they might as well just go kill themselves.
"You knew we were here all along?" the leader asked, looking at Lin Yun. His voice was thick with apprehension—not of Lin Yun himself, but of the trouble that would follow if they attracted the Bai Family’s guards.
"You all went to such great lengths to come for me. How could I possibly do nothing in return?" Lin Yun replied with a smile.
The entire situation was now under Lin Yun’s control. He looked at the men, a faint smile still on his face.
