Chapter 305: The Hospital
Leon looked at Emily. He was trying to avoid focusing on her. Now that he stopped doing that, memories surged inside him. Memories of years. Memories of Logan getting to know Princess Lilith, their bond slowly growing until Lilith finally died. His heart ached in pain. ’She is not her.’ Leon told himself. ’It’s just a coincidence that they look the same.’ Seeing Emily, Leon almost had the urge to stride forward and hug her. But slowly, he calmed his mind, calmed his emotions.
"You are saying..." Leon finally started speaking. "If I come to Daselvia, you will arrange a hunter license for me?"
"Yes. Hunter associations normally aren’t allowed to distribute licenses without mana measurement. Just like Denver, it’s the same in each country that the military controls the licensing of cultivators." Emily explained.
"Then it’s the same situation. Going there wouldn’t do me any good." Leon said.
"It will. You didn’t forget who my father is, right?" Emily said. "Even the military has to listen to his words."
Before Leon could say anything, Snow spoke. "You shouldn’t go to Daselvia, Leon. You are from here. Your mom is in the hospital. And give me some time. I will talk to my uncle. I will try to get a hunter license for you from the military as well." She said hurriedly. ’I can’t let him go to Daselvia. If he goes there, it will be difficult to restrict their meetings. I can’t let it happen.’ She decided inwardly.
"He has no time to waste," Emily said hurriedly. After Lamia’s words last time, she knew more about Leon now. His sister was captured by beings from a different world. Leon had to go to the upper heavens. And before that, he had to get strong to do that. Snow and Emily still didn’t know how going inside dungeons would help Leon grow stronger. But they knew Leon had to go inside. "Also, we can shift your mother to Daselvia as well. She will get better treatment there."
Leon fell into deep thought.
"Going there will be a hassle, Leon. Yes, you can shift your mother there. But do you think she is fit for such a long journey? You don’t even know anyone there except Emily Flemming and Sol Flemming." Snow said.
"It won’t be a hassle at all. We have a private jet. We will be in Daselvia before you even notice it. And why is knowing someone important? Is Leon going there to start a business? What matters for him at the moment is entering dungeons. He has no time to waste knowing about others, has he?" Emily said as she looked at Snow. A triumphant smile spread across her face. It wasn’t obvious. It was so subtle that Leon didn’t even notice it. But Snow did. Her jaw tightened as she glared at Emily.
Leon finally looked up. "I think she has a point. I can enter dungeons here. But people will try to stop me. And I killed that Major. Maybe I won’t be punished, but it will be too much of a hassle to stay here, actually. So I also think it’s a good idea to travel to Daselvia. But are you sure you can get me a hunter license? No test, no drama?" Leon looked at Emily.
"Yes. No drama at all."
"Then when can we leave?"
"Whenever you want, big bro." Sol was excited to know that Leon was going to Daselvia.
"Then let’s pick my mother up from the hospital first, then," Leon said.
"Sure," Emily replied, satisfied.
"Then I am going to Daselvia as well." Before Leon and others could take a step, Snow said. "If you are going to Daselvia, I am going too."
Emily’s brows furrowed. "You have no business there."
Snow didn’t bother to even look at her, much less answer her.
"You didn’t forget you are supposed to take responsibility for me, did you?" Snow looked at Leon.
"That again? I am really in no mood at the moment to argue about that." Leon said helplessly.
"You have to. Don’t forget I tried my best to help you get a license. I just want to come. I don’t think there will be any problem with that." Leon looked at her firm expression and then at Emily as if asking for her permission.
"All right," Emily said with a cold expression. She didn’t want Snow to follow. But without a valid reason, she couldn’t deny. She didn’t want to look like a jealous person. Not when nothing was certain between her and Leon. And she was just trying to help Leon at the moment.
Snow chuckled. "Let’s go and pick up your mother first." Snow said and started walking toward the main gate of the cantonment.
Leon followed behind her. Emily stood there for a moment before walking forward as well. Sol, meanwhile, couldn’t help but sigh, looking at his sister. ’She is totally pissed. I hope a fight doesn’t start.’ He was the last one to move.
Soon the group of four left the cantonment. Guards at the gate tried to stop them. But the moment they did, a heavy pressure weighed on them. As they looked toward the source of it and saw Emily glaring at them, they paled.
Leon and others crossed the gate without any resistance. They soon took a vehicle and headed toward the Delvan Hospital, where Leon’s mother was admitted.
While they were heading toward the hospital, a group of people was standing on a rooftop. It was the rooftop of a hospital. The same hospital Leon’s mother was in.
"Where the fuck is Leon Bale? How long do we have to wait?" A person asked. This one was none other than the young man from the Ghost Blade clan who had come to Delvan for the Frost Monarch’s blade.
"He went to the cantonment." Alpha, the stealth magic user from the Bloodhound guild, spoke. "He is trying to get a hunter license. But don’t worry. His mother is here. He will come here soon."
