Chapter 171 Finding Her
CALIX
I take a deep breath, tapping my fingers anxiously on the armrest. I started getting cold feet soon after the flight took off.
Now I suddenly want to abort this trip.
If only the airplane could circle back like an helicopter. I sigh wearily. Knowing myself I still would not be able to apologize when and if I do see Gweneth. What is left to do then? Coerce her into returning with me?
That would not work.
I am torn.
A larger part of me wishing I never took this flight. Curtis was right. The situation and myself are both beyond complicated. I look out the window, mindlessly staring at the clear fine morning sky, thinking that I should book a return flight once I reach the airport.
"Is there anything you would like me to get you sir?" Standing besides my seat is a flight stewardess. I quickly notice how tight and skimpy her uniform is compared to the ones I have seen in all my seven years of flight travelling.
The smile she has on doesn’t look all that professional too.
"I’m good." I deadpan, returning my gaze to the window. I feel her lean close just then. My head meets her large bust directly close and almost over my head. I frown, shifting back slightly when she didn’t. "Our first class services are second to none. We offer the absolute best." She stresses the "best" Her smile becoming more sleazy.
"You are free to make any order." It’s now clear as day to me what she means.
It was an emergency flight which is why I’m the only one in first class right now. It would have been a great place for a round or two.
But what a shame, I am in no mood for that.
I have been like that for the past two weeks. It is going towards being one of the longest times I have stayed without sex since I started at fifteen.
It always had to do with me being occupied with either a mission or the hell training I undergo every three months. Other than that, there has never been a time that I just decide not to get carnal pleasure.
Especially when it is right in front of me—suitably at that. Big tits, curvaceous with a pretty face. This should have greatly arouse my libido but it just isn’t.
If it is doing so even in the slightest bit I would’ve very much loved the idea of a fling high above ground. I’d drill into her hole while imagining her as Gweneth and that would instantly put me out of the mood considering the situation I have with her.
If I were asked to choose between a cup of instant coffee and getting laid with a Victoria secret model right now, I would choose the instant coffee despite having a dislike for it.
"I appreciate the thoughtful offer, but no thanks." I rejected, making sure to sound a little rude and irritated to better get it straight to her.
Her smile almost falls but she manages to keep it on. "Okay well. I would be close by if you change your mind." She said, and then leaves.
I completely relax on the comfy seat, shutting my eyes, hoping to be overtaken by a short sleep since I did not get any sleep last night. I couldn’t. I haven’t been able to ever since she left after what happened.
An automated voice notifies of the landing minutes before the airplane touches down at the airport. I had my mind set on booking a return flight.
But then I decided not to go through with it anymore. I have become a damn lunatic. I got my luggage and then got into one of the deluxe cab I found outside the airport. I specifically told the driver to take me to a guesthouse around Konos Beach side. And fortunately, there are a lot of them—according to him.
That way it would be easier for me to close in on where she might be. He drives for quite a long time before pulling over at what he called a motel.
I had my doubts until I see a name sign that shows it is indeed a motel.
The place is way too shabby looking. Paint peeled off the walls with a practically rundown fence and an untidy environment. I scrunched my nose in distaste. It should have been an animal shed instead of a place for human accommodation. I shake my head disapprovingly.
Some people really have no sense of taste.
The interior is only a tad bit better than the exterior.
I first fold my arms for more than ten minutes just observing the joke of a room.
You got to be fucking kidding me. I thought.
I am sure that even a slave would not be made to stay here in a traditional era.
The man I had met at the front desk and had gotten the room key from is busy running Helter-skelter in an hapless effort to make the place look less bad.
The mattress is small and dirty. It must have bedbugs and be itchy too.
Fucking hell.
Not to mention the bedsheets and the dust covered lamp and table besides the bed. The idea of sleep has flown out of the equation. This place would give one a whole lot of nightmares.
He said that there is no other room left besides this one.
That is what he told the person who came after me. If I had known that it was like this, I would have gladly chosen to let that person take it and go elsewhere.
So people actually chose to live in a place like this?
I consider leaving and going to a hotel. Surely there must be a nice hotel around here right? I really want to do that but Gweneth’s IP location pinged in this area.
"You are lucky to have come earlier than that lady." The man said with an irritating laugh, trying to make me feel fortunate about this shit hole.
I stare at him incredulously. That’s so fucking absurd. Then the thought suddenly hit. Could Gweneth be in a place like this too?
It might be unless she has a relative that she could be living with.
Damn it, what have I done?
"There! Haha. It is perfect now isn’t it?" That brings me out of my guilty thoughts. He had cleaned the table and the lamplight which to me he did nothing but make more dirtier because of the dirty rag he used.
I have developed mysophobia thanks to it.
"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. I man the front desk from 7am to 8pm in the evening. I leave after. If you want anything like an extra towel or bedsheets do so before then, hmm?"
"You don’t stay here?" I ask because it sounds like that’s what he is saying. "No. I live in the next street. This is just my business and my children do not like it when I stay here." He explains.
’Ha.No wonder this place is so shitty.’ I said inwardly. It wouldn’t be like this if he himself is living here. "I will allow you to settle in now. I’m at the front desk if you need anything." He then leaves.
I stare and stare at the room, thinking that it might start to look better the more I look. But it isn’t. It keeps getting worse. Now my skin is itchy.
I take only my wallet and leave. I can’t stay here. The sooner I find her the sooner I can leave this place.
I first started with the motel owner, showing him Gweneth’s photo and asking if he had seen her. "No, I haven’t." He said after staring at it for way longer than necessary that I thought he knows her. I almost cursed at him for it.
I asked two people on the street before I got the direction to Konos Beach. It is not that far. A walking distance from that shit hole. The realization that this is stupid and would most likely end up being fruitless grew with each step I took to the beach.
She had only taken a photo here. Where I’m I going to track her down to specifically?
"Hey excuse me, have you seen this girl around here?" I started asking that some of the people who were playing or sunbathing.
It could probably end up being pointless. But there is a chance that maybe one person might know her and that makes it worth trying.
"No."
"No I haven’t."
I have lost count of the number of people I have asked now. Their answers are all negatively the same. I am growing so frustrated to the point that I want to kill them all for saying that they haven’t seen her.
I went to a group of girls to ask them. They all said the same thing, except for one and she just said something strange that killed my returning hope.
"It looks like Gina."
