Chapter 221: Bedroom Reunion: Roman
I was so relieved to have Hannah in my arms again. With our fingers entwined, we headed out of the hotel.
On the way, I thanked the cop, who was, I saw, lounging around and snacking on some chips in his squad car.
"I know we had our differences, but I want to thank you for your help," I said to him once he opened the driver’s side window.
I held out my hand for him to shake and he first wiped the crumbs on his pant leg before extending his arm.
"You’re welcome. If we hear any more about the Auction House or that bodyguard thing, we’ll keep you informed, for your safety."
"Sure," I said. "I’m just glad to have Hannah back." I put my arm around her and pulled her closer.
By that point, Harry was also standing in the parking lot, having seen Ed and Marcus haul off Martin.
"So my guess in the dark was right, about the connection with Hannah," he said.
"It was. You got the special forces part right, too."
"Yeah, he really had some skills. Well, I guess this is it, then..."
I held out my hand again. "If it weren’t for you, I’m not sure we would have found the room."
"They probably would have figured it out - eventually." "Still, it was helpful. I owe you." "I’ll send you a bill."
"Of course." I moved in a little closer. "You know that security firm in your building? They lost a guy a little while back?"
"Yeah, I heard about that," said Harry.
"Find out who was responsible and send me the bill for that, too."
"You got it." Harry gave a short nod.
With that settled, I took Hannah’s hand and led her to Geoffrey’s car.
"What’s this?" she asked.
"We didn’t want to be followed, so Geoffrey let us borrow his car," I explained, climbing into the back seat.
"Awww, Geoffrey’s back. How was his vacation?" Hannah asked.
"Good, I think," I said. "But he missed you, too."
"I should think so," Hannah made an assured face and climbed in beside me.
We flew home, Stan’s lead foot coming in handy again.
I understood why Martin had done what he did, but I didn’t have to like it. At the same time, it was a relief to have an answer for who had been lurking in the black car and who had tried to run me over and shot at me.
The only loose end was figuring out who had impersonated and killed Nick Greene. I felt confident Harry might be able to figure it out - eventually, as he said.
The main issue on my mind was getting home ad ripping off Hannah’s clothes.
I looked over at her, holding her hand in mine. She smiled, her green eyes sparkling at me. Despite her weird clothing that looked a little immature, she appeared just as attractive as I remembered.
Out of respect for Stan, we kept our hands to ourselves, both of our glances revealing the hunger that was growing inside of us. The ride home was one of the longest I could remember, my fire for Hannah burning in my loins. I could barely wait, tapping my foot as Stan sped up the driveway.
As soon as Stan pulled into the parking area, I jumped out and led Hannah by the hand. "Thanks for everything," I called in a hurry. Hannah and I scrambled inside, eager to climb on top of one another.
Inside the door, however, Geoffrey waited, having heard his car pull up the long drive. "Welcome home," he said, eager to see Hannah.
"Geoffrey," she called out and gave him a big hug.
"I hope your ordeal wasn’t too heinous," he said. "Is there anything I can get you?"
"No. It wasn’t so bad. A little scary. But I found my brother." Geoffrey gave Hannah a weird face, hearing the news about Martin.
"That sounds interesting, if not a bit trying," he said. "Maybe a cup of tea, and you could..."
"Sorry, Geoffrey," I cut him off. "I’m sure Hannah will tell you all about it - another time. Right now, we, um, we have some unfinished business."
I pulled on her hand, but it was as if I was undressing her already with my eyes.
"Yes, sorry," Geoffrey said, stepping back. "Of course. I’ll be here when you’re..."
He searched for another word, probably initially going to say ’finished.’ Instead, he just let the sentence hang.
"Some dinner would be nice," Hannah said. "Can you ask the cook to make something hot? All I’ve had are some fruit and bagels."
"Sure thing," replied Geoffrey.
As we dashed down the hallway, Hannah’s phone dinged. "Just get it later," I said, my body so starved for Hannah’s touch, I couldn’t fathom another minute without her.
She pulled her phone out and looked at it. "Oh, it’s Lori. Just one minute," she said to me. "I promise," she added, seeing my disappointed face.
We continued into our bedroom, and I closed and locked the door behind me as Hannah texted her sister. Her fingers pressed the screen with dexterity, while I kissed her neck and behind her ear. I dragged her to the bed, her fingers still typing.
Laying her down, I kissed her stomach, and she typed. "Lori is just as surprised as I was," she said. "She says she can’t believe Martin was behind it the whole time."
"Uh-huh," I mumbled, pulling down Hannah’s pants. She stopped my hand and sat up, holding her phone.
"She’s coming over," Hannah said, pulling up her pants.
"She said she just has to see me, give me a hug. Awww... that’s so sweet,"
Hannah’s face brightened, and I couldn’t stop her. Lori should see her, too, I thought. I could wait just a little bit longer to have Hannah all to myself.
Hannah hurried to the door when she heard the doorbell, and the exuberant sisters hugged at the first sight of one another. Lori rushed in, her face flushed.
"You have to tell me everything. What did Martin look like after all these years?"
They talked animatedly, shuffling into the living room, and I slumped on the couch, trying my best to keep my member from getting hard.
The suspense in my body was brimming, just waiting to devour Hannah. I had to look away from her or I’d get too aroused. Even hearing her talk titillated me.
"He’s a little more rugged than before. A short, scruffy beard. Some muscles," Hannah said. "But he looks good. Strong."
"Did he ask about us?"
"I told him all about your design business, and I showed him a bunch of pictures on my phone. He’s really proud of you. I think he’s going to have a harder time making up with Freddy and Edward. He couldn’t understand why they didn’t step in when he left."
Lori nodded. "I know, it’s hard to get. Everything with Dad was so complicated."
"You bet. But I also think Martin’s been suffering for awhile. It’s not just that he was protective. He seemed a bit stressed, maybe PTSD from being in the special forces. The FBI is going to recommend some therapists," Hannah told her sister.
Lori nodded. "Good. Good."
"I know. Ooohh," Hannah sat on the edge of the couch. "And he got me oatmeal."
Lori laughed. "But you hate oatmeal."
"I know. He forgot. Then he remembered it was you who loved it."
I knew it was important for Hannah to fill in her sister, but I just wanted it to happen quicker. Gazing at Hannah, the way her lips moved seemed so sensual. I decided to leave the room, just to cool off and wait for Hannah.
"I’m going to wait in the bedroom," I made googly eyes at Hannah, and walked out of the room. Hannah laughed.
"Oh, I’m so sorry," said Lori. "I’m keeping you. It looks like Roman’s ready to get busy."
"It’s fine," I told her.
"No, no. Hannah can tell me the rest later," Lori said and stood up.
Hannah stood up, too, and they hugged again.
I was thankful for Lori at that moment. She couldn’t have read the cues better and didn’t overstay her welcome.
"Thanks, Lori," I said.
Geoffrey showed her out, and I breathed a sigh of relief. I wasn’t wasting any more time.
Picking up Hannah like a bridegroom does a bride, I carried her back to the bedroom. Laying her on her back on the bed - again - I turned off her phone and put it in the drawer in the bedside table.
"Now where were we?" I said. "We’re all alone." I leaned over her on the bed.
"Yes," she said, rubbing her hands in my hair. "And I’m ready to handle that unfinished business you talked about." She flashed me a seductive smile and laughed.
