Chapter 1536: Power Shift Amidst the Chaos
No matter how high his prestige is in his own legion, even if he is an earthly emperor, he wouldn’t dare to boast in front of Ye Luo. After all, because they themselves are commanders of one of the legions, they know all too frighteningly well what kind of strength the garrison legions of the Great Tang Empire possess!
...
"Your Highness, since His Majesty has appointed you as the General of the Garrison Army, why not order the surrounding garrison legions to come and assist, and at the same time, command the city guards within Yingfeng City to cease resistance?"
A commander of the Yulin Guards stepped forward and addressed Ye Luo, yet at this moment, his attitude was several times more respectful than before!
The General of the Garrison Army has always been personally commanded by the Emperor. Coupled with the previous favoritism shown by the Emperor of Great Tang towards Ye Luo, it can be said that many people’s hearts have already regarded Ye Luo as the second Crown Prince!
Because Ye Luo’s current authority is far greater than that of the Crown Prince!
In fact, the Emperor of Great Tang regretted giving the order after it was issued. However, since the order was already delivered, he wouldn’t retract it out of pride. Moreover, considering that Ye Luo was soon to go to the Da Yue Empire, once he went to the Demon Clan, even if he could return alive, people might have already forgotten him. Thus, the Emperor of Great Tang did not retract the appointment.
What the Emperor of Great Tang thinks, Ye Luo doesn’t care at all.
Since he has been given authority, there is no use not utilizing it!
Ye Luo directly, based on distance, pinpointed six nearby garrison legion commanders and without hesitation ordered each to send a third of their troops for support.
Simultaneously, Ye Luo also commanded the city guards inside Yingfeng City to cease resistance.
Anyway, Ye Luo never paid any attention to how effective it was, and he still didn’t know the might of Spirit Sword Island at this moment.
