Chapter 1497 - 1498: The Long-winded Cloud Clan Commentary
Ye Luo didn’t say anything, because he knew that this voice would continue to tell him what he wanted to know.
Sure enough, after a moment’s pause, he heard the voice continue, "The Cloud Clan was originally a small tribe in the Seventh Region. However, the ruler of the Seventh Region is an entity known as Wing Lord, who has twelve pairs of wings and boundless mana. Ever since, he has favored the sky tribes, granting them privileges, so the Cloud Clan’s days were fairly comfortable."
"However, ever since one day, when the Cloud Clan’s Saintess fell in love with a wandering member of the Dragon Clan, the Cloud Clan experienced enormous changes!"
"The Saintess is one of the most important figures in the Cloud Clan. Among the five Saintesses of the Cloud Clan, every one of them is an existence that must not be tainted. The Dragon Clan is incredibly powerful, yet there is an old saying that the dragon’s nature is innately lustful!"
"For the first thousand years, this member of the Dragon Clan and the Saintess of the Cloud Clan were a loving couple, and they even gave birth to a prodigious son with both Dragon Blood and Cloud Clan bloodlines! But good things did not last! The Dragon Clan’s proclivity for love eventually caused trouble!"
"That young member of the Dragon Clan, who was already considered the most devoted in the entire Dragon Clan, still fell in love with another Human Race girl after a thousand years!"
"And thus the conflict began! Though the Cloud Clan allowed the Saintess to marry members of other tribes, they would never tolerate betrayal. Consequently, they pursued that Dragon Clan member! However, the Dragon Clan is not so easily bullied. Even in the Seventh Region, where they are only sub-dragons, they still possess terrifying power and have even established their own Dragon Kingdom!"
"The war between the Dragon Kingdom and the Cloud Clan caught Wing Lord’s attention, leading to a full-scale war between the two clans that lasted three thousand years! During those three thousand years, countless people died, countless fell, but when the war ended, all the Cloud Clan got was exile! Because in Wing Lord’s eyes, the Cloud Clan had caused grievous losses to the entire sky tribe and irreparably split the Dragon Kingdom and the sky tribe, making them unforgivable sinners!"
"Thus, the Cloud Clan was exiled. But merely a few months after their exile, they were attacked again. This time, the attack was so comprehensive and thorough that almost all members of the Cloud Clan were captured!"
"The enemy wanted only one thing—a cultivation technique given to the Cloud Clan Saintess by that Dragon Clan youth!"
