Chapter 765: Star Physique_1
Just as Ye Luo and Hou Yaoyang were passing through a corridor preparing to enter the back courtyard, suddenly, a raucous noise erupted from the adjoining hallway.
A disheveled man holding a bottle of wine staggered to drink continuously while several men beside him kept trying to persuade him. However, the man stumbled all the way to where Ye Luo and Hou Yaoyang stood.
"Hey, it’s father, come, let’s drink together."
The man was none other than the Hou family’s eldest young master, Hou Jingwu. Holding the wine bottle and looking at Hou Yaoyang, he slurred his words.
Seeing this scene, Hou Yaoyang’s expression turned extremely ugly as he yelled sternly, "You good-for-nothing, how can you behave like this? Do you even resemble a son of mine, let alone deserve to be the Hou family’s eldest young master? You’ve lost all face for the Hou family."
"What’s the point of being the eldest young master of the Hou family? Watching the woman I love lying there, unable to save her. What right do I have to be any young master of the Hou family? I’d rather not be this young master. I just want Die Wu to wake up."
With a sorrowful sigh, Hou Jingwu collapsed to the ground, the wine bottle rolling from his hand. His eyes were filled with melancholy, grief, helplessness, and reluctance, a mix of emotions interwoven together.
"You... you are going to be the death of me. To fall so low over a woman!"
Hou Yaoyang pointed at Hou Jingwu, his face filled with a look of despised frustration.
However, Ye Luo’s eyes on the side were fixed intently on the figure of Hou Jingwu on the ground, revealing a hint of astonishment.
