"Vice President Chen, is there something you need?"

Ling Qingya put down the pen in her hand and looked toward Chen Yaowen.

"President Ling, I’ve discovered something I believe you’ll find very interesting." Chen Yaowen’s mouth revealed a smirk that was ill-intentioned, as he watched Ling Qingya.

"What discovery?" Ling Qingya’s eyes showed a touch of confusion.

Chen Yaowen smiled and said, "It’s about your fiancé Ye Luo and that Director Li."

Ling Qingya’s eyes narrowed slightly, and a peculiar expression flashed through them.

The elevator on the first floor of Ling Corporation opened, and Ling Qingya walked out slowly in ten-centimeter high heels, with Chen Yaowen following by her side.

"President, Vice President."

Hou Dayong walked over, looking at the two of them and spoke respectfully.

"Where is Director Li now?" Ling Qingya’s voice was cold.

"She’s in Vice Chief Ye’s office, and there are some rather unpleasant noises coming from inside," said Hou Dayong, his expression a bit unnatural.

Ling Qingya’s eyes narrowed slightly, and she walked quickly towards Ye Luo’s office, while Chen Yaowen surreptitiously gave Hou Dayong a smile from behind her.

A series of knocks sounded on the door of Ye Luo’s office, and then the door opened, revealing Ye Luo’s figure.

"Yo, Madame President, Vice President, Minister Hou, what brings all of you here, did something big happen?"

Ye Luo looked at the three people with a face full of surprise.

Ling Qingya walked straight into the office and immediately saw Li Wanqin sitting in front of Ye Luo’s desk.

"President, why have you come?"

Li Wanqin stood up looking at Ling Qingya, who scanned the office with her eyes, glanced at Li Wanqin and Ye Luo, and said, "Wan Qin, why are you here?"

"Oh, I have a project to discuss with the boss of Hai Corporation tonight, and I was worried it wouldn’t be right to go alone, especially if drinking was involved. So, I thought about asking Vice Chief Ye to accompany me. Madame President, you won’t get jealous if I borrow your fiancé for a bit, right?" Li Wanqin said with a coy smile.

Ling Qingya’s face turned red involuntarily and she said, "If that’s the case, sure, you can take him with you. That would be safer. The boss of Hai Corporation is not a simple person."

"Thank you, Madame President," Li Wanqin smiled.

"Madame President, you didn’t come just to see me, did you? I’m really touched, how about a hug?"

Ye Luo looked at Ling Qingya with tears of gratitude, opening his arms as if to embrace her, but Ling Qingya turned and elegantly walked out.

"Uh..." Ye Luo awkwardly hugged himself and gave a sheepish smile.

Both Chen Yaowen and Hou Dayong left with faces that looked quite unpleasant, giving Ye Luo a glance each, they walked out.

"Did you know the President was coming?"

After they left, Li Wanqin’s eyes showed a hint of suspicion as she looked at Ye Luo.

Earlier, Li Wanqin had almost succumbed to Ye Luo’s ardor, ready to engage in a wild encounter in the office when suddenly Ye Luo stopped, saying someone was about to arrive. She had not expected that person to be the President.

Ye Luo’s mouth curled into a smile as he walked to the back of the desk and pulled out a small black pellet.

"What is this?" Li Wanqin asked, looking at the object with surprise.

"A bug," Ye Luo said indifferently.

"What? A bug?" Li Wanqin exclaimed, "How could there be a listening device here?"

Ye Luo held the device in his hand and said, "Haven’t you figured it out yet?"

Li Wanqin’s eyes narrowed, and as her pupils shifted, she suddenly spat out, "Could it be Minister Hou and that Chen Yaowen who did this?"

"My wife is really clever," Ye Luo said with a smile, walking over to Li Wanqin and planting a kiss on her lips.

"Ah, stop messing around. What do we do now? Qing Ya won’t suspect anything, right? What if she discovers something?" Li Wanqin looked nervous, her eyes filled with an intense discomfort.

"Don’t worry, even if she does find out anything, I will take care of it all," Ye Luo said, hugging Li Wanqin tightly.

"I’ve known Qing Ya for four or five years, and I don’t want our relationship to break up because of this. After all, I am the one who owes her an apology," Li Wanqin said, her expression turning gloomy and her voice low.

"You can’t blame yourself for this. If anyone is to blame, it’s fate and me. You are my woman, and she is my fiancée. Both of you were destined to be mine," Ye Luo said dominantly and decisively.

As Ling Qingya walked out of the office, her expression was cold as she looked at Chen Yaowen and Hou Dayong, an invisible aura spreading around her. Chen Yaowen managed to maintain his composure, but Hou Dayong’s face was already dripping with cold sweat.

"President, this..." Chen Yaowen began to say something but was directly interrupted by Ling Qingya.

"Vice President Chen, I hope in the future you will focus all your attention on your work. The company pays you a salary of several hundred thousand, not for you to concoct these groundless stories. And I would like you to not meddle in the affairs between Ye Luo and me any longer, or else..."

Ling Qingya’s tone was as cold as ice, her gaze detached, exuding a powerful presence.

"Minister Hou is truly efficient. Since he has been fired, let’s leave it at that. I hope there won’t be any more unwanted items in my office in the future," Ye Luo said, patting Hou Dayong on the shoulder and leaving with a clicking sound of his tongue.

Watching Ye Luo’s retreating figure, Hou Dayong clenched his fists, his face twisted with ferocity and anger.
