Infinite Mana: I Am The Absolute Supreme

Chapter 136: Going with the heavenly demons

Klaus gave Cristofer a look of pure disdain, not even bothering to conceal his contempt. If it was some other time, maybe he would have exchanged some pleasantries to maintain political decorum, but they were here on a critical mission today. They needed to bring back Victor and terminate his contract with his legendary summoned beast before they could contract with it themselves, and they needed to act fast before other god races caught wind of the situation and intervened.

"Get lost from here unless you want your entire race to be exterminated," Klaus said in a cold, absolute voice that carried no room for negotiation.

"Victor, come with us," Yehan ordered, stepping forward. That amiable, warm look that Victor remembered from their previous encounter was nowhere to be seen, replaced entirely by cold indifference and arrogance.

Victor clenched his fist tightly, his gaze fixed on Diana’s emotionless face.

Cristofer had a deeply difficult look on his face, his golden robes trembling slightly under his suppressed anger. He knew the envoys were not joking in the slightest; a god race possessed the structural power to erase even a supreme race like the elves from the galactic map. He had never anticipated that they would use Victor’s lover as hostage leverage to blackmail him so openly. They were truly ruthless.

"Hahaha! Why are you in a hurry Klaus? We are here in a banquet. Let’s enjoy some food."

Suddenly, another blinding burst of spatial energy tore through the banquet hall, and another group entered the room. They were all radiating immense, pure light and had majestic white wings spread wide upon their backs. Their presence was breathtakingly majestic, filling the hall with a divine pressure that rivaled the heavenly demons.

Klaus’s face turned dark the moment he saw them.

"You moved too fast, Irian," Klaus replied, his voice dropping into a dangerous register.

"Hahaha. How can I miss such an opportunity?" the leader of the new group laughed heartily.

The spirit race envoys standing nearby instantly knelt down on both knees the second they saw the new arrivals, lowering their heads to the cold marble floor. The angel race was the father race of the spirit race, holding absolute authority over their bloodline.

Irian nodded lightly at the spirit race delegates, acknowledging their bow without stopping. Then he turned his gaze directly toward Victor, his eyes glowing with golden light.

"Boy, how about you handover your summoned beast to us and we will help you to break your lover’s curse as well as give you our full protection."

"Your Highness, you can’t force someone to terminate their contract with their astral summon. It will be against the fundamental rules of the universe," Cristofer gritted his teeth and said, stepping between Victor and the god race leaders.

Though Cristofer was as powerful as these individuals in raw strength, they were completely disregarding his status as a Universal Emperor Realm powerhouse, treating him as though he did not even exist. He had drastically miscalculated the terrifying weight and cosmic influence of Victor’s summon. The mighty god races were fully prepared to throw away their long-standing reputation and decorum just to seize this single opportunity.

"Huh? We are the gods of the universe and we set the rules. If you utter another word, the elven race will cease to exist," Irian said in a chilling, indifferent tone that made the entire banquet hall feel like an icy abyss.

The leaders of every other race present were witnessing the true god races for the very first time in their lives, and the grim reality finally settled into their minds. The supreme races whom they had always considered the undisputed rulers of the universe were actually nothing more than helpless subjects before these ancient tyrants.

"Master, if you order, I can erase these bastards from existence right now. Do you want me to?" Astrion’s angry, resonant voice resonated clearly inside Victor’s head.

"Don’t rush. Let’s see how far they can go. The destruction will be much more tasteful then," a creepy, dark smile flickered across Victor’s face for a fraction of a millisecond before it vanished completely into a calm facade.

"As you wish master," Astrion replied, suppressing his cosmic power.

In a hidden dimension far above the physical plane, deep within the primary core of the universe, several eldritch entities were observing the banquet hall through timeless mirrors.

"Those fools are trying to attack the messiah. Should we interfere? The so-called god races need to have a harsh reality check," one of the ancient entities spoke, its voice vibrating with cosmic force.

"Let him suffer a bit. It will make his will tougher. The difficulties he will face in the future will be absolute hell compared to these minor problems," the central leader replied calmly, watching the scene unfold below.

"Alright," the entity agreed, withdrawing its presence.

Back inside the grand hall, the tension had reached a absolute breaking point as the two god races faced off. Victor took a quiet breath, looking at Diana one last time before making his choice.

"I’ll go with the heavenly demons," Victor declared after thinking for a short moment.

Boom!

The instant the words left Victor’s mouth, Irian unleashed a terrifying beam of holy light directly toward Victor, moving with intent to kill him on the spot. If Victor was successfully claimed by the heavenly demons, their faction would undoubtedly break the delicate power balance and become the sole rulers of the god realm. If the angels could not have the summon, killing the host to reset the cosmic cycle was the only logical move.

"Humph!"

Klaus snorted coldly and stepped forward, intercepting the lethal beam instantly with a barrier of absolute dark space that negated the holy light entirely.

"We will meet you angels soon. Until then," Klaus said with a cold sneer.

Without giving anyone another second to react, Klaus reached out a dark, shrouded hand, grabbed Victor by the shoulder, and vanished into a tear in space along with Diana, Yehan, and his entourage.

Silence descended upon the grand hall once more.

"The god race is targeting him. He is completely finished," the surrounding envoys thought to themselves, shaking their heads in pity.

The envoys of the supreme races who had previously felt threatened by Victor’s rise all became secretly happy seeing this turn of events, relieved that such a terrifying monster was removed from the board. The spirit race delegates, in particular, sneered with deep satisfaction.

Irian swept his cold golden eyes across everyone remaining in the hall, offering no further explanation, before turning around and vanishing into the void alongside his angel warriors.

The demonic minister, Alistair Pike, immediately turned his head and looked at the Cosmic Human Alliance vice president with a drastically changed, cold expression.

"Looks like your luck isn’t that good after all. But we won’t cause you problems, but forget about the other promises," Alistair said distantly before turning his back and leaving the table without another word.

Carmen Jack stood frozen beside the floating obsidian table, his face devoid of color as the brief dream of human rise shattered into pieces.

Standing near the center of the hall, Lord Cristofer looked at the empty space where Victor had been taken, his breathing heavy and his eyes burning with intense hatred. He clenched his fist so tightly that his golden blood threatened to spill from his palm.

"Those god race bastards. Someday I’ll kill all of you motherfuckers," he vowed in a dark, quiet whisper that echoed with deadly intent.
