American Adventure: My Uncle is Don Quixote

Chapter 400 - 254: Are You Dissatisfied?

Elizabeth’s palms began to sweat when she heard the demand. She couldn’t help but look at Li Wei.

Li Wei simply gave her a smile that promised victory.

’My Predestined Trajectory is still gleaming.’

"I’ll take that bet!" Elizabeth said, gritting her teeth.

She trusted Li Wei unconditionally.

"Good," Alexander clapped, turning to the side. "Come on. Load up. Get ready."

「Meanwhile, in a darkened wine cellar at the end of the second-floor hallway of the Mellon Manor’s main building.」

Alister was slumped on a sofa, clutching a glass of straight whiskey. He hadn’t turned on the main lights; only a single small lamp illuminated his decadent and neurotic face.

His attention wasn’t on the room full of wine, but on a corner of the room.

When he made a mistake as a child, Alexander would lock him in a dog cage in that corner for hours before letting him out.

His gaze was fixed on that very spot.

After a moment of thought, he got up from the sofa, walked over to the corner, and slowly sat down against the wall, curling himself into a ball.

CLICK.

The door was pushed open.

Alister glanced back, then lost interest in the visitor. He gave a cold sneer and chugged a large mouthful of whiskey. "Oh, I hope you’re not sneaking behind Dad’s back for a tryst with me."

"Please, have some respect for my professional ethics, Mr. Alister Mellon," Silvia said coolly, looking down at him. "I am here on Mr. Alexander’s behalf."

Alister grunted. "Did my father send you to record my pathetic state, so I can provide him with some amusement when he’s feeling down?"

"Actually, from my personal point of view," Silvia said flatly, "I thought you were quite manly today. At least you actually said no."

Alister’s hand paused.

"Go on," he said.

"Based on my observations, Mr. Alexander’s opinion of Timothy is very low right now," Silvia said, crossing her arms. "He went to find Elizabeth himself and sent me to you, but he completely ignored Timothy."

"Of course. He won’t be giving my older brother the time of day for at least the next year," Alister cackled. "So, am I Dad’s favorite child now?"

"Yes, you are your father’s favorite son right now," Silvia said. "Because you know many rotten nouveau riche, Hollywood superstars, and other wealthy people just like you. And those are exactly the people Free Port needs."

Hearing Silvia insult him, for some unknown reason, Alister actually felt a little aroused.

"Oh?" He paused. "So in his eyes, I’m just the ultimate pimp, with Free Port’s business card stamped on my ass?"

"Correct," Silvia said. "But you will earn Mr. Alexander’s approval."

"Approval."

Alister repeated the word, rolling it on his tongue to savor it.

The word itself wasn’t very charming. If Alister were to rank his favorite words, "approval" probably wouldn’t even crack the top one hundred.

But Alexander’s approval... that was a different matter entirely.

Wasn’t that what he had been searching for his entire life?

He looked up at Silvia’s mature, abstinent face—a face that represented his father’s authority—and suddenly felt a jolt of electricity run through his brain.

He suddenly felt like a man again.

"You’re nauseating, Alister," Silvia said with revulsion, noticing the change between his legs. "You’re nothing but a disgusting, weak-willed pervert. A maggot that only knows how to wag its tail and beg."

This merciless barrage of insults, however, only made Alister feel even more excited.

He shot to his feet and scrambled into a small side room.

"Keep going," his voice came from inside. "Silvia, keep insulting me. Tell me how useless I am, tell me what a piece of trash I am..."

Silvia stood outside the door, the revulsion on her face gradually fading, replaced by a cold smile that touched the corners of her lips.

She had originally thought it would take more promises of personal gain to control this unpredictable playboy, but now, she had discovered something more effective than money.

A perfect, invisible dog leash.

And more importantly, Alister, just like her, also had voting rights!

"Zip up your pants, you useless waste!" Silvia continued to berate him, her tone carrying an unquestionable command. "When the next vote comes, you know how you’ll be voting!"

"I understand, I understand..."

「The outdoor shooting range behind the Long Island Manor.」

Li Wei stood at the shooting station, holding the Beretta double-barreled shotgun with both hands, feeling the cold touch of its metal body.

’Predestined Trajectory, activate!’

In an instant, the chaotic, disorderly blizzard was deconstructed before his eyes. A translucent parabola, emitting a faint glow that only he could see, extended out from the dark muzzle of the shotgun.

"Pull!" a servant beside Alexander shouted, pressing the button on the clay pigeon thrower.

WHOOSH! WHOOSH!

Two orange clay pigeons launched simultaneously from the towers on the left and right. Carried by the wind, they followed extremely erratic trajectories as they converged in mid-air.

Alexander was already settling in to watch the show.

In his view, Li Wei was a complete amateur; he didn’t even close one eye to aim like a normal shooter.

But in the next second, his jaw dropped wide enough to fit a bowling ball.

Li Wei snapped the muzzle of the gun up and, without a moment’s hesitation, pulled the trigger twice.
