Chapter 1675 - 1673: A New Situation

As the Group sent someone to announce the appointment, the whole company suddenly became quiet.

The looks people in the branch office gave Peter Brown were filled with layer upon layer of complication. No one had expected that a migrant worker could climb the ranks so quickly within such a short period of time.

Thinking about how they had toiled for so many years without similar development, everyone could only sigh.

However, reflecting on the various things Peter had done, everyone inwardly acknowledged his capability; indeed, nobody possessed his ability or the kind of luck he had.

Matthew Clarkson was probably the most frustrated of all. Initially, when he saw Henry Carter in trouble, he had harbored thoughts of possibly taking over Carter’s position. Yet, what had never crossed his mind was that the project under Peter’s responsibility would actually succeed.

Seeing how Peter leveraged the project’s success to rise through the ranks, Matthew sighed to himself. Now all he could think about was Peter’s luck and failed to notice the work Peter had done behind the scenes.

The new leadership team held a brief meeting. After all, it involved only three people plus the Chief Engineer and General Manager who had joined the leading members. The meeting was not long; Peter, in a few words, assigned everyone their responsibilities. Now as the deputy head of a new project and having received recognition from the Group, it was natural that his word became law here; nobody dared to cross Peter.

After discussing the key points, Peter turned to the group and said, "Everyone knows the direction our development will take next. If there are no changes, we will surely shift towards the Reservoir Project. None of us are familiar with this project, which poses a challenge for us. However, if we look at it from another angle, if we manage to secure several high-value real estate projects during this critical period, there will naturally be possibilities for everyone to lead a project. Therefore, for the company’s sake as well as our own, our next focus should still be on developing in this direction."

Peter spoke very frankly, and everyone nodded in agreement after hearing his words. Indeed, if they managed to accomplish this, securing a project would mean securing a position for themselves.
