Chapter 1640 - 1638: Taking Office
Tobia Armstrong personally led the team to the branch office to announce the adjustments to the leadership.
As Tobia Armstrong strode towards the podium, the branch’s newly appointed leadership members followed closely behind him.
The branch’s personnel had been notified well in advance, and no one dared to be absent from such a meeting. The entire middle and upper leadership of the branch office filled the seats below.
Many of the branch’s staff directed their gazes towards Peter Brown.
The expressions towards Peter Brown were complicated. Just a few months ago, he was a temporary worker doing odd jobs; now, astonishingly, he had ascended to a leadership position at the branch. This change took everyone by surprise. However, upon reflecting on Peter’s path to advancement, people could only smile bitterly; he indeed had real talent.

Remembering Peter’s formidable capabilities, everyone lost the courage to compete; they simply weren’t in the same league.
Peter didn’t concern himself with what others thought. In the branch, he ranked third, closely following Dexter, the newly transferred Deputy Secretary.
Peter used to be the one holding the teapot on stage, adding hot water for others, and sometimes he wasn’t even the one tasked with that job. Now, however, he had changed his status and sat among those on stage.
