The next day at work, Vincent Clinton arrived looking like he hadn’t slept well, his complexion had turned quite ghastly.
"Reid Nelson, come to my office," Vincent Clinton said to Reid Nelson with just that sentence.
Reid Nelson was taken aback but still stood up and agreed with a response.
Peter Brown watched Reid Nelson follow Vincent Clinton out and had a thought; he simply started a small program on his computer.
This was a program Peter Brown used to eavesdrop on Christian Greenhill’s computer, which, because Christian Greenhill’s computer was always disconnected from the power and network cable, could pick up the sounds in the office as soon as it was activated.
Soon, the program was up and running, and then the conversation between Vincent Clinton and Reid Nelson began to come through Peter Brown’s headphones.
With such formidable computer knowledge, Peter Brown believed that even starting his own company would be awesome. However, Peter Brown eventually dismissed the idea, reminding himself that he wasn’t here for the money but for the fusion. The harsher the environment, the better for his own integration. It was better to stay and develop here.
"Did you open my safe, Reid Nelson?" As soon as the door closed, Vincent Clinton roared.
This outburst shocked Peter Brown immensely; he hadn’t expected Vincent Clinton to suspect Reid Nelson.
"Mr. Spencer, what safe are you talking about? Why would I open your safe?"
"Reid Nelson, my patience has its limits. If I’m having a hard time, I’ll make sure you do too. You think I don’t know about your shenanigans?"
