Summit Farmer

Upon entering Henry Ford’s room, I saw everyone deep in the joy of playing cards, so I picked up the kettle and began pouring hot water for Henry and his team.

"Peter is quite good!"

A construction team leader named Hector smiled slightly as he looked at Peter.

"Edward Ford really knows how to pick people. He saw Peter’s potential at a glance—simply immeasurable!"

As Peter poured hot water for everyone, several of Henry Ford’s trusted followers actually began to praise him.

Listening to their condescending remarks, Peter had a thought. The books on officialdom mentioned many things, and though these men were just some team leaders and subordinate to him—even though Henry Ford hadn’t spoken—they were already speaking like this. First, because they were Henry Ford’s trusted followers, and second, because they didn’t really think highly of Peter from the bottom of their hearts.

With this in mind, Peter became even more enthusiastic, "I’m just someone from the Integrated Office responsible for service. Serving everyone well is my duty."

Henry Ford also had a smile on his face as he said, "So how’d it go, win or lose?"

Daniel Lee laughed, "Edward, you have no idea. Peter is awesome at cards. Today was Three-to-One, and we couldn’t beat him at all!"

Henry Ford smiled slightly, "That is indeed impressive!"

Peter wanted to mention the money issue, but then thought better of it. After all, he had seen some money in a few people’s drawers, which was very likely provided by Daniel Lee, and possibly even more than what was given to him. If he brought up this matter, first, it would be awkward, and second, it would offend people.
