Chapter 1326: Cure on Hand_1
There were still quite a few practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine in the hospital, and upon hearing that there would be an examination for Peter Brown, they each turned up, with several old doctors looking at Peter with scrutinizing eyes. In their minds, this young man couldn’t possibly possess very advanced medical skills—it must just be a stroke of luck.
Hospital Director Green took this matter very seriously and said to Peter, "Whatever instruments or equipment you need, just say the word, and I’ll have them prepared for you."
Peter smiled and replied, "Some silver needles will do. Apart from that, I just need the cooperation of the folks in the pharmacy."
"Don’t you need instruments like a stethoscope?" a young doctor asked.
"What does traditional Chinese medicine emphasize? Observation, listening, questioning, and pulse-taking. Why bother with those useless things?" Peter had opinions about many practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine who always resorted to a host of instruments for assistance, given the substantial differences between traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine.
"Give your full cooperation, experts from the provincial department are coming. This is a joint assessment," instructed Hospital Director Green to everyone.
After waiting a while, as several old experts arrived, the examination for Peter began.
Guided by the doctors, Peter made his way to the Critical Care Ward.
"These are all critical patients, nearly all of them are beyond hope."
The doctor made this statement indifferently, as death was a common sight here.
Upon entering, everyone saw family members anxiously gathered, as if waiting for their loved ones’ final moments to arrive.
