Chapter 998: Smooth Passage
A powerful divine sense approached Peter Brown, and he tried to appear as calm as possible, standing there. Of course, his immortal power had already solidified, and if it didn’t work out, he would immediately strike with one finger, determined to kill his opponent no matter what.
Fortunately, Kenji Langton’s divine sense only scanned Peter briefly and then swept over his ring before withdrawing.
One of the personnel from the Tribulation Association looked at Peter and said, "You may leave." Then, he marked something on Peter’s identity card, indicating that everything was checked.
Peter rejoiced secretly but maintained a calm demeanor as he departed.
After leaving, Peter still didn’t show any sign of unease and headed directly to the inn.
"Have you been checked yet?" the innkeeper asked Peter.
"Yes, everything is fine."
A smile spread across the innkeeper’s face.
Sitting cross-legged in his room, Peter looked at the traces of divine sense left inside his body by Kenji Langton with a smile on his lips. Kenji Langton had apparently not planned just to check and then leave everyone alone; he left a small thread of his divine sense inside each person. If someone were to cause trouble, he would be the first to know.
Fortunately, Peter had Damian’s Dao affinity enveloping that thread of divine sense inside his body. If it were anyone else, they would have no chance of noticing it, given Langton’s status as a Mahayana master.
The Tribulation Association really seemed quite powerful.
