Chapter 746: For One’s Own Benefit

Apart from the two elders who sided with Zariah Nelson, the other elders all voiced their opinions, believing that Nelson’s actions were wrong. They thought that a promising Alchemist like Peter Brown should be treated well, not discouraged. They believed Peter should be promoted to a Professor position, or else their county might lose him to another one, resulting in a huge loss.

Seeing how things had developed, Ian Shore spoke loudly: "Let’s vote now. Raise your hands if you agree to promote Peter Brown to a Professor position." As he spoke, he was the first to raise his hand.

At this point, the elders all raised their hands one after another.

Ian Shore glanced at Zariah Nelson and his two allies and said: "In that case, the decision to promote Peter Brown from a student to a professor in the Alchemy Hall has been made. From now on, Peter Brown is a Professor of our county’s Academy."

Zariah Nelson was so furious at this point, being scolded by so many elders. His anger towards Peter Brown was also burning. However, with things having developed this far, he had no power to resist, as everyone supported promoting Peter.

When the trio of Zariah Nelson walked out, one of the elders sighed and said: "Nelson, this matter... sigh!"

After finishing speaking, he shook his head and left, feeling that it was somewhat improper to support Zariah Nelson in this matter.

Another elder looked at Zariah Nelson and said: "Nelson, I think you should seek your elder brother. After all, he is an elder in the Shire. If you don’t have his support, you might be in trouble!"

As the two left, Zariah Nelson’s eyes were filled with murderous intent. He never expected a mere student to cause such upheaval. If this matter was not handled properly, it could indeed bring him trouble.
