After a while, Esme Carter looked at Peter Brown and said, "Peter, I’ve been looking into that Matthew Carter. Goddamn, it turns out that his sister is married to that Deputy Mayor named Jonathan White in the city. It was White who stole your credit and gave it to Matthew Carter. Don’t worry, I’m on it. Peter Brown looked up at Esme Carter, unsure whether having such a hot-headed brother was a good or a bad thing. The lad was quite unpredictable.

Esme Carter retorted, "I’ve done my investigation. He’s absolutely a corrupt official, messing with him won’t leave any regrets."
After he finished speaking, Esme Carter grinned and said, "Can you teach me some cultivation arts?"
"Didn’t I set up some Stele in the Green Water Village?"
