Chapter 625: No Merit Left
With Peter Brown’s current cultivation status, moving at sword speed is very fast, so he doesn’t have to worry about it affecting his work in the township.

When Peter got to the entrance of the Village Government building, he encountered Deputy Town Chief Matthew Carter, who was just coming out.
Upon seeing Peter, Matthew’s face changed and he forced a smile, shaking Peter’s hand and asking, "You’re back?"
The question was rather cold. His enthusiasm seemed clearly forced.
Peter knew this chap was not happy with him taking a higher position after his arrival. Therefore, Peter didn’t show much enthusiasm; he just smiled faintly and replied, "Yes, I’m back."
