Chapter 250: Consequences of the Blood Sacrifice
Although Peter Brown possessed the knowledge from the inheritance, it was his first time witnessing such a blood sacrifice method.
As the old woman performed the blood sacrifice, the entire sky was filled with dark energy, and the temperature dropped abruptly. The cold was bone-chilling, and Peter could feel his whole body stiffening from the cold.
This was not a God-summoning technique; it was a demonic version of Demon-summoning technique. What was being summoned was definitely a Demon Spirit!
Seeing this, Peter ran even faster.
The Demon Spirits summoned from the other world were powerful. Usually, they would be channeled into corpses as vessels. Only a corpse, a body without consciousness, could fully accept and channel the spirit. If it were an individual with consciousness, the overpowering consciousness of the Demon Spirit could turn the person into an idiot, and even the summoned Demon Spirit would not be able to protect its own consciousness.
Peter also knew that the time this Demon-summoning technique could maintain was not long, only a short span of 2 hours. After 2 hours, it would return naturally; otherwise, the Heavenly Dao of this realm would be sufficient to destroy the invading Demon Spirit.
The Sorcery methods were entirely different from the Demon-summoning techniques. Sorcery would only bring forth evil spirits from deaths on Earth to manipulate a specific individual, which paled in comparison to the summoned demonic beings, in both power and scope.
The Demon Lord summoned by the Demon-summoning technique could only exist for 2 hours; however, even within this short time, Peter Brown could not withstand it.
His only choice was to run!
