Chapter 214: A Big Event
After driving for a while, Peter Brown thought of a problem: he had driven Edward Martin’s car only past the toll booth but not out of the toll station. As long as the video recording is checked, it can be easily traced. Given Henry Martin’s capabilities, he would probably be able to get a hold of the footage.
Thinking it over, Peter decided not to bother too much and just let them figure it out on their own.
After exiting the toll station, Peter drove to a place near the university and found a quiet spot to leave Edward’s car. He then took the other car and headed towards the school.
Looking back on what had just happened, Peter secretly laughed: even if Henry and his allies hadn’t seen him driving out, they couldn’t say anything once they found this car, as it was indeed here.
As Peter registered for school, the car accident involving Edward and his group had caused quite a headache for the authorities.
At first, the traffic police thought it was just an ordinary accident and didn’t treat it as a big deal. However, as they investigated the driver’s identity, the car plate number alarmed them. Soon after making some calls, it was confirmed that the driver was none other than the son of the province’s leader.
What a big deal!
The officer in charge broke into a sweat as soon as he received this news. This was too big of an issue, and he had no idea how to handle it. With gritted teeth, he reported the situation to his superiors, and eventually, Henry Martin found out.
At that time, Henry was in his office reviewing documents. After assuming this position of power, his authority had increased, and as a result, he had more responsibilities.
Upon receiving the call from the traffic police leader, Henry initially responded casually, only to exclaim loudly afterwards: "What did you say?"
After confirming the message again, Henry suddenly lost his spirit, never having expected something like this to happen.
