Summit Farmer

Chapter 200: The Thompson Family’s Little Scheme

Seeing Henry Martin’s attitude of tacit agreement, Dora Wright said, "Henry, you don’t want to lose face, so let me make a call to Peter Brown to clear up the situation."

"Ah, I am not going to deal with this!"

Henry Martin had already stood up and entered his bedroom by the end of his sentence. He was experiencing conflicting emotions and was utterly unsure of how to proceed.

Henry Martin understood that doing this would harm his relationship with Peter Brown. However, he also knew that this situation represented an opportunity to reintegrate himself into the Thompson Family. Losing this opportunity would make it very difficult to have such a chance again.

Seeing their father’s unspoken acceptance, Edward and his siblings felt an exciting thrill. They were filled with anticipation towards cultivation.

Edward Martin said: "Mom, there’s no need to make that call. My dad is the head of our family!" Although he respects Peter, deep down, Edward considers himself superior. Now, if he can rejoin the Thompson Family and become a cultivator, Peter is nothing more than a simple farmer. How does he even matter?

Filled with expectation, Edward is no longer considering how Peter has helped them. Even in his thoughts, if Peter blocks this critical matter concerning the Thompson Family, they can’t be courteous towards him anymore.

"It’s better to make the call anyway, so as not to intensify the conflict as much as possible."

Dora Wright asked for the phone number from Edward and dialed Peter Brown’s number.
