Peter Brown was impressed by Jessamine Armstrong’s intelligence. He understood her intentions; she was aware of her capabilities and knew that the only way to tie herself to the interests of the stone factory was through a shareholding system. Only in this way could the factory receive orders with her connections.

Since Peter understood her intentions, he chose not to mention the issue of shares anymore and to help Chase White. The couple’s business operation did not concern him, and he didn’t care much about the profits of the stone factory.

Jessamine initially mentioned that her parents wished to invite Peter to dinner, but he declined, making the excuse that Mayor Taylor needed to consult with him on an issue before returning to Flower Creek Village.

After seeing the couple off, Peter watched Jessamine drive away in her new car and Chase’s happy face, feeling comforted. He believed he had repaid his debt to them in this way.

At noon, Peter joined Reuben Taylor at his house and was warmly received by Mayor Taylor. The mayor paid great attention to Peter’s affairs and talked about the county’s decision to supply electricity and signal to Green Water Village as soon as possible, as well as allocating some disaster relief supplies to Green Water Township.

When Peter left Mayor Taylor’s house, Daniel Pangbourne picked him up.

Upon seeing Peter, Daniel Pangbourne said, "Peter, I got data about that mountain from the county. It turns out that some experts have been working on it exclusively, but no one has been there due to the supernatural events. Do you really plan to construct something on that mountain?"

Peter Brown smiled and said, "Indeed, there are supernatural events, even a Ghost General. However, I have already set the Ghost General free, so nothing will happen again."

Daniel knew about Peter’s abilities to some extent and nodded slightly, "As long as it’s safe. I was worried that you couldn’t solve the supernatural events."
