Chapter 141: The Troublemaker
Peter Brown and Jessamine Armstrong were in good spirits today, standing there welcoming the guests with smiles on their faces. After going through so many obstacles, the two young adults from Stone Lake Stoneworks Company finally came together in marriage. Only they knew the hardships they both had undergone.
"Chase, where are your classmates? Why haven’t they arrived yet?"
"They should be here soon. Don’t worry, Peter and I were really close in school."
While the two were talking, a BMW stopped in front of them, and an enchantingly beautiful woman stepped out of the car.
The woman walked directly towards them.
"Ms. Johnson is here?" Both of them went to meet her.
Ms. Johnson, a woman, looked at Jessamine and said, "To be honest, I didn’t plan on coming, but due to the company’s poor performance, they decided to lay off some staff. Both the Marketing Department and the Quality Control Department will be affected. I’m here today to inform you both, so please go and complete the formalities later."
Jessamine was dumbfounded. She and Peter were both employees of Stone Lake Stoneworks Company. Although their salaries were not high, they were good employees. How could they be laid off, and together at the same time?
