Chapter 137: Face

Chase White couldn’t believe that Peter Brown could borrow luxury cars, so he kept making phone calls there.

What a pity that Chase was just a worker, and he didn’t have any wealthy classmates or friends. He used to have some successful classmates in school, but he didn’t have much contact with them.

After a few calls, the color of Chase’s face changed.

At this point, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz loudly said to Chase, "You rented this car from me, and now it’s like this, you should compensate me for this bad luck!"

Only then did Peter find out that even this barely decent car was rented and he shook his head secretly.

"Chase, what’s going on? Mom is furious!"

The calls from his fiancée kept coming, all urging him to handle the matter.

"Chase, even John Morris is upset, saying that a man who can’t even get a car is useless!"

"Chase, why aren’t you here yet? I’m dying from anxiety!"

...

With each call urging him to hurry up, Chase White gave a bitter smile. He really had no way now. Was he supposed to find some taxis on the street?
