Chapter 127: Out of Money
Looking at the jade bottle Peter Brown handed over, Javier Carter hesitated, "What is this?"
"This is a medicine I have prepared. Considering Jalen Carter’s condition you described to me, this medicine should be effective. There are three pills in it. One pill a day, and Jalen Carter should be better after three days."
On hearing this, everyone’s gaze fell on the jade bottle.
Javier Carter took it immediately, even opening the bottle.
The jade bottle looked good, but the medicine inside wasn’t as appealing. At first glance, you could see three dark black pills.
"This...." Javier Carter glanced skeptically at Peter Brown, wanting to say something but didn’t dare to speak.
"Don’t worry, there should be no problem after taking it. He should be able to get out of bed after taking the first pill," Peter Brown assured him.
Javier thought it over. It wouldn’t make sense for Peter to deceive him about this. Besides, the two had already agreed on the road repair. This grudge seems to be resolved.

Javier Carter’s face twitched a bit, thinking that Peter Brown’s words seemed to carry a hint of threat. His words implied that if Javier didn’t repair the road, Peter might come looking for him.
