My Synthesizer Has Talent

Chapter 459 - 457: Sights and Sounds in the Exotic Realm

Zhu Yuan also said, puzzled, "Right? It’s so much better to have pictures. These are the trophies of our battle, all three of us."

Zhu Yuan happily looked at every single photo.

Zhu Yuan had the brightest smile in every picture.

Su Qing was smiling beside them, as was Yu Hu.

Bai Di watched from the side, green with envy. "Wow, and I’m not in any of them."

"Damn it! I was the one piloting the Flying Shuttle for a whole month."

"And you guys were just playing games."

"Alright, alright. Next time the four of us have some free time, we’ll all hang out together."

"That’s right," Zhu Yuan nodded.

Su Qing nodded as well.

Bai Di smiled. "Well then, let’s head down."

The four of them disembarked from the Flying Shuttle.

There was nothing around them.

Only a familiar sight.

The Abyss. Or, to use a more familiar term, a ’black hole’.

This was merely an area where Space was distorted.

It would be very simple for Su Qing to clean it up.

"This is the place."

"The Abyss is just an illusion."

"I wanted to probe this Abyss myself back then."

"But I discovered it was actually a Secret Realm," Bai Di said with a small laugh.

"Come on, let’s go in." Bai Di was the first to enter the Abyss.

Su Qing scanned the area. It really was a fake Abyss.

So he followed him inside.

Zhu Yuan and Yu Hu followed as well.

The moment they entered, they saw it truly was a Secret Realm.

There was no gravitational pull like a real one would have.

After passing a certain point, the view changed to that of a massive planet.

Bai Di was waiting outside the planet’s atmosphere.

Su Qing had just arrived as well.

His gaze fell upon the world below.

The Continent and water were split evenly, fifty-fifty.

Most of the land consisted of islands scattered across the water; as a whole, the planet looked pockmarked.

"You all go on and have some fun. I’m going to find ’it’," Bai Di said to Su Qing and the others.

Zhu Yuan nodded.

As did Su Qing.

"Where are you headed?" Zhu Yuan asked.

Su Qing replied, "There’s an interesting kingdom down below. I think I’ll go take a look."

"I won’t be joining you."

Su Qing always chose his destinations on a whim.

Exploring alone had its advantages.

He could go wherever he pleased, without being tied down.

Su Qing descended first.

Then, he changed his clothes.

The common attire in this kingdom was simple linen.

Because every kingdom was essentially a large island, its territory defined by the surrounding waters.

Even after changing into a linen robe, Su Qing’s bearing was still ramrod straight and exceedingly noble.

It clearly did little to change his appearance.

Su Qing changed his face to look rougher and used a simple illusion to hide the Flame Mark between his brows.

’That’s much more ordinary.’

Su Qing smiled.

Then he emerged from a dark corner.

There were many beggars here.

All were dressed in rags or nothing at all—beggars and vagrants.

And this was supposedly a city in this kingdom.

To call it a city was a stretch; it was more like some small city-state.

The people here all had black eyes.

Their hair was similar, mostly black or dark brown.

Su Qing weaved his way around the beggars and onto the street.

The streets were all gravel.

It seemed their level of productivity was incredibly low.

Su Qing came to a relatively more developed area.

Or rather, a more developed street.

On this street,

there were many more people, and their linen clothes were intact.

Or at most, had a few patches.

Furthermore, there was trading in food and slaves.

And plenty of trading in textiles.

But it was only food trading.

There were no delicacies.

It was all the most basic fare—either pork or mutton.

Or people selling grain.

It was truly a barren place.

Su Qing couldn’t help but feel puzzled.

He glanced at the Inner City.

Su Qing was currently in the outer city.

From the air, he had seen that the Inner City was far more bustling than the outer city.

But blending in to the Inner City was very difficult.

The Inner City, in contrast to the outer city, only contained twenty-some luxurious residences.

’Corrupt.’

’Truly corrupt.’

Su Qing sighed.

He walked along the road like any other city-dweller, observing the people around him.

They hawked their wares.

Some haggled over prices.

Su Qing quietly began learning the language.

Otherwise, he would have to rely on gestures to understand what was being said.

Learning the language was very simple, especially for someone like Su Qing.

After half a day of walking around, he had completely mastered the basics of the language.

Let alone being able to speak it.

He could now speak it fluently, as if it were his native tongue.

Su Qing looked at the slaves in their tattered rags.

Both the men and the women were terribly thin.

And filthy.

If a female slave were truly beautiful, she would never have appeared in a market like this.

’Weak and suffering mortals, struggling endlessly just for a mouthful of food.’

Su Qing sighed.

Besides observing, he didn’t know what else to do.

It felt as though this had nothing to do with him.

Nor did Su Qing want to change any of it.

He just took one last look around...

...and headed out of the city.

Su Qing walked on, alone and in silence.

The area outside the city was vast.

There was plenty of wilderness, but also plenty of grain.

Especially wheat.

It was the main crop here.

’Not bad.’

Su Qing nodded.

He was just a passerby.

He was only here to see the sights and observe the culture.

The landscape was mostly flat plains.

Su Qing could see for a great distance.

Then,

he sidestepped.

A WHOOSH of air shot past him.

It was a wooden club.

And that wasn’t all.

A fierce blast of wind erupted from behind Su Qing.

It was Su Qing’s doing.

Because five men were trying to capture him.

Was Su Qing going to tolerate that?

They weren’t just human traffickers; they were a Slave Capture Team.

’Damn it.’

’Have I gotten tangled up with this sort of person again?’

’No matter where I go, I run into people like this.’

The blast of wind just now had already killed one of them.

It had also torn a net to shreds.

As for the man beside him, Su Qing shattered his trachea with a single punch.

Three streams of deathly energy shot out.

At a speed they couldn’t possibly imagine, it latched onto their bodies.

Death. Always so swift.

Su Qing looked exasperated.

"Why are there always people courting death?"

"Do I look like an easy target?"

"Following me all this way..." Su Qing shook his head at the five men.

’Such fragile mortals.’

A kingdom like this... would Su Qing want to change it? Impossible.

Human desire can never be satisfied.

Even Su Qing himself knew it was an insatiable thing.

He himself possessed the Synthesizer.

He would constantly use it to upgrade his Artifacts, Cultivation Techniques, and Magic.

In a way, Su Qing’s desires were being met.

The Synthesizer helped him.

This was why he rarely had to seek what he wanted from the outside world.

But this Slave Capture Team? Perhaps their desire was simply to survive.

But Su Qing never showed pity.

’This is what it means to be human.’

’It’s always impossible to read a person’s heart, to know whether they are good or bad.’

Su Qing silently shook his head.

He was starting to dislike this place.

’I should go check out a more prosperous region.’

’And here I thought there’d be something interesting to see.’

It was even more rotten than the Spirit Realm where Su Qing came from.

This kingdom...

...was no good.

Su Qing vanished on the spot.

He soon arrived at a prosperous kingdom.

The streets here were bustling with carriages and people.

The city ground was paved with stone bricks, but to be honest, there were still beggars.

There was still a thriving slave trade.

The only difference was that there were more well-dressed, affluent people.

Yu Hu and Zhu Yuan were also here.

They couldn’t sense Su Qing’s presence.

But Su Qing could sense theirs.

Su Qing decided to look around on his own.

He then put on a White Cloak...

...and began to wander.

Although it made him stand out,

he was just one of a few such individuals in the massive crowd.

"Make way."

A carriage driver yelled furiously.

The surrounding crowd quickly moved to either side of the road, letting the carriage pass.

From within the crowd, Su Qing watched a man on horseback clad in armor.

It seemed he had trained his Physique somewhat.

He was at least at the first few stages of Body Tempering.

Compared to the common folk, however, he seemed exceptionally distinguished.

Su Qing just chuckled softly.

’They should be grateful they live inside a fake Abyss.’
