"Go pick out some pets."

Su Qing gestured to his left shoulder, and only then did Kade realize that there really was a small creature on his master’s shoulder.

Kade had previously thought his master just had a strange hobby, like enjoying having a small, green ball of water on his shoulder.

"Yes, Master."

Xiaoqing flew up.

It observed everything carefully as it circled Su Qing.

Su Qing also observed the creatures as he walked.

The strangest was a stone pet with a flower growing out of its head.

This stone pet naturally possessed the power of the Earth Dao Path, but had no Dao Path of its own.

It was born that way.

Possessing the power of a Dao Path was not the same as having a Dao Path, and there was no conflict between the two.

It was truly magical that such a small stone could even move.

"Yes, Master," Xiaoqing replied, its voice filled with joy.

Su Qing took Xiaoqing to the slave market.

Kade stood to the side without offering any suggestions, simply following Su Qing in silence.

"Master, I want this one, and this one," Xiaoqing said, floating over to two women in tattered clothes.

One looked very much like an Elf from Western mythology, with pointed ears and flowing brown hair. Her aura was different, however; she had an indescribable sense of affability.

The resemblance was indeed striking.

In the Great Thousand Worlds, anything was possible; it wasn’t surprising to see an Elf.

The other woman appeared ordinary, with black hair and black eyes. Her face was devoid of joy or sorrow, revealing no emotion whatsoever, and her body was covered in scars.

The scars on her face were so numerous that her original features were unrecognizable, though one could tell her bone structure was good.

The merchant immediately brightened up and said, "Customer, if you buy this Spirit of Nature, I’ll throw the human in for free."

The merchant was a humanoid, but he was massive. He was particularly bloated, stood five meters tall, and looked like a small hill, yet his power was still quite weak.

Kade, however, interjected from the side, "That won’t do. This Spirit of Nature isn’t pure. It’s impossible for you to sell it at the full price of one."

"And she has several wounds. The price is far too high. Thirty thousand Taichu Coins, at most."

Kade started haggling directly.

The merchant was dumbfounded; he hadn’t expected this follower to know the prices so well.

What followed was a round of haggling between Kade and the merchant.

In the end, the two slaves were purchased for 32,000 Taichu Coins.

Su Qing immediately brought them into his Micro Acupoint Great World, then placed Xiaoqing inside as well.

He placed them within the specific Micro Acupoint Great World where the Immortal Enlightenment Tree King was located.

Xiaoqing would take good care of them.

"Kade, thank you."

"Everything is worthwhile if it is in service to you, Master."

Kade spoke with the utmost sincerity.

"Alright. Next, take me to buy some groceries. Food that humans normally eat would be best."

After buying a few more good items, Su Qing finally left the exchange.

Just as he was about to return to his own world, he saw Yu Hu and Zhu Yuan waiting for him.

"Come on, let’s go play."

"Fighting in a game is the fairest way," Zhu Yuan said with a laugh.

Once he started playing, Yu Hu went completely wild.

He was incredibly confident.

Su Qing controlled a Sword Immortal that had only five skills and six attack moves.

Yu Hu, as a bald monk, completely dominated Su Qing and Zhu Yuan at the start.

Because of the limitations of the game’s equipment, there was a ceiling on reaction speed, no matter how fast an expert was in real life.

There was a cap on mechanical skill.

Therefore, the only way to dominate them was to have a superior understanding of the game itself.

Su Qing, however, was having a great time.

He gradually got the hang of the controls.

It was less like playing a game and more like frantically deducing all subsequent moves in every instant.

After just a few rounds, the three of them were locked in a back-and-forth struggle, their understanding of the game already incredibly deep.

They were evenly matched.

Their battles were full of scheming and deceit, bursting with surprises and laughter.

For the first time, Su Qing experienced a joy that came from something other than Cultivation.

He finally understood why so many people in the Taichu Daoist Palace fell into decadence and lost their desire to cultivate.

It was just too much fun.

They played for an entire day.

The three of them didn’t leave the game world until they had spent several hundred Taichu Coins.

"That’s despicable! Yu Hu, you’re so devious! You actually hid in a corner to ambush me."

"You’re just terrible at the game. It’s your own fault for not checking the corners."

"And what do you mean, *I’m* devious? Su Qing is the devious one. I learned it from him!"

"Hey, I’m not devious. That’s called strategy, alright?" Su Qing said with a smile.

"Yeah, right! I can’t believe how devious Su Qing is. He just secretly watched the show from the side, waited until both our health was low, then came out and finished us off."

"Su Qing’s too treacherous. Next time, let’s play Star Sea War, then he won’t be able to pull any sneaky tricks," Zhu Yuan said peevishly.

"Hey, that’s just how the game is played! The three of us have all hit the reaction speed cap. Forget the cap, we can come up with countless counters in an instant."

"In a game like this, how are you supposed to get an advantage if you don’t strike first?"

Su Qing had a lot of fun, too.

"Let’s go have fun outside the Taichu Daoist Palace next time. I found a really beautiful planet. The scenery there is absolutely stunning."

"Of course," Yu Hu nodded.

Su Qing faltered, then shook his head. "I can’t. The Black Abyss Human Clan is probably waiting for me out there."

"I can’t go out yet."

"The Black Abyss Human Clan? That bunch of shameless curs? They really are disgusting. Looks like you’re out of luck, Su Qing. For the Black Abyss Human Clan to give up on you, at least several Star Sea Eras will have to pass before they might forget about it."

Zhu Yuan said with a look of pity.

Yu Hu also looked regretful. "It’s true. The Black Abyss Human Clan is like a poison spreading through the Star Sea."

"We’ll go next time there’s a chance," Su Qing said with a smile.

"Okay, let’s go have a match on the Taichu Dao Platform right now."

"Sparring will help us improve faster!" Zhu Yuan said with great enthusiasm, her face breaking into a smile.

Unlike when they first met, she was a Dragon who was exceptionally friendly toward people she knew well.

’A spar, huh.’

This time, Su Qing used the simplest Power of the Stars.

"You’re actually going to fight my Power of Time with the Power of the Stars?"

"And why not?"

Su Qing chuckled softly. The thousands of Stars surrounding him were not within his opponent’s domain of Time.

On the Taichu Dao Platform.

Zhu Yuan was completely dumbfounded.

She saw Su Qing appear.

She walked right over and threw a punch at his chest.

A muffled thud echoed. Zhu Yuan hadn’t held back at all; she knew that Su Qing’s Power of the Stars was formidable, which meant his physical body had to be powerful as well.

Her punch had almost no effect.

"You bastard, I didn’t think your Power of the Stars was this strong!"

"Waaah!" Zhu Yuan cried, her face a mask of frustration and disbelief.

"I have Time Power, for crying out loud! How do you keep getting stronger?" Zhu Yuan fumed, unwilling to accept it.

Su Qing shrugged, a smug look on his face. "Just my natural Talent."

POW—

And was rewarded with another irritated punch from Zhu Yuan.
