Chapter 34: Liar-Slayer Alliance
They walked into the Ancient Tower.
The first floor was a grand hall. In the very center hung a two-hundred-inch screen displaying the names of every Ghost Whisperer. Some names were followed by their Liar Hunter Skill, though most lacked detailed information.
However, without exception, all the Ghost Whisperers listed on the screen were Three-Star Players and above.
Mei Zhixu led Chen Ran to a Registration Counter. A Newbie needed to join either the Liar-Slayer Alliance or the Deceiver Alliance to obtain the right to rent housing.
The headquarters of the Deceiver Alliance was located deep within the 18th Level, quite a distance from here.
An older woman sat behind the counter. Mei Zhixu whispered a few words into her ear, and the woman looked Chen Ran up and down. "I didn't expect another one to slip through the net. Your name is Chen Ran, right?"
Chen Ran nodded, but the older woman's expression suddenly darkened. He quickly spoke up. "Yes, my name is Chen Ran. I just arrived in the 18th Level today."
"In the 18th Level, we generally consider nodding to imply concealment. In the future, if someone asks you a question, speak if you can, and stay silent if you cannot. But do not nod or shake your head," she warned.
"Understood." Chen Ran committed this to memory.
