’An improved formula for a Tier Five Potion?’

Tao Ping was stunned. This was big business.

He quickly asked, "What are the specific improvements?"

"The materials are mostly the same, but the effects are improved by 8 to 12 percent. I’ve also simplified some of the refining steps, which should increase the success rate by about five percentage points."

Tao Ping sucked in a sharp breath.

Generally, the higher the tier of a potion, the more difficult it is to improve.

After so many years of relentless research by innumerable Alchemists, many potions had already been improved to their absolute limit. Pushing them even a tiny bit further was considered nearly impossible.

For many improved potion formulas, a 5% increase in efficacy was already considered remarkable.

Yet Pei Ze’s improved formula could boost the potion’s effect by around ten percent!

But that wasn’t what shocked Tao Ping the most. What astounded him even more was the increased success rate for refining it.

A full five percentage points!

Anyone with the slightest understanding of potion profits knew what an enormous windfall a five-percentage-point increase in success rate represented.

Pei Ze’s words hit him like a bomb, leaving him stunned. It was a long moment before he could process it.

He hesitated, seeming to choose his words carefully, then said slowly, "Lord Pei Ze, I don’t doubt you, but the stakes are incredibly high. I need to verify the formula’s effects."

"Of course." Pei Ze was understanding. He handed over the formula without another word. "You can verify it whenever you like."

Tao Ping accepted the formula with extreme care, as if he were holding a priceless treasure.

After stowing the formula, he took a deep breath to compose himself. "Lord Pei Ze, if the formula is truly as you describe, then I suggest we hold a small-scale auction. We should invite all the Tier Four and higher Alchemists in Chenxi City. That will be the best way to fetch a high price."

Pei Ze readily agreed. "Let’s do it your way."

Then, Pei Ze took out the exotic insect materials and Insect Crystals he had obtained from the Ancient Forest Plane and gave them to Tao Ping as well, entrusting him with their sale. All the proceeds were to be used to purchase the rare metals needed for Silver Star’s evolution.

As for the most crucial component, the Thunder Element Giant Spirit Cores, Pei Ze planned to return to the Thunder Elemental Half-Plane to hunt for them himself.

With the deal struck, both parties were pleased.

Tao Ping left the mansion, completely satisfied.

After he was gone, Pei Ze opened the jade box Tao Ping had left.

As it happened, inside were two Thunder Element Giant Spirit Cores.

’Perfect. Silver Star can absorb these.’

Putting away the Thunder Element Giant Spirit Cores, Pei Ze turned and headed for the Meditation Room to continue absorbing the Thunder Elemental Energy from the block of wood.

Pei Ze had finally absorbed all the Thunder Elemental Energy contained within the block of wood.

As a result, his elementalization progress had skyrocketed.

But for Pei Ze, this was just the beginning.

Once he finished analyzing the patterns on the Stone Monument Fragment and acquired the Divine Blood, his elementalization would take another massive leap forward.

’Based on my current Elemental Origin, I should be able to finish analyzing the runes on the Stone Monument Fragment in another seven or eight days.’

The smile on Pei Ze’s face grew wider.

The feeling of his power growing in a virtuous cycle was intoxicating.

Now that its Thunder Elemental Energy was depleted, the block of wood had lost most of its usefulness. At best, it was now a moderately valuable enchanting material.

Pei Ze casually put it away, then rose and left the Meditation Room.

With the task of absorbing energy from the wood now complete, he suddenly had a lot more free time. He decided to use this opportunity to hunt in the Thunder Elemental Half-Plane and gather the Thunder Element Giant Spirit Cores needed for Silver Star’s evolution.

But as soon as he stepped out of the Meditation Room, Nymph came to greet him.

"Master, you have a visitor."

Pei Ze paused and asked casually, "Who is it?"

"A Wizard, Lady Yin Xue."

’Senior?’

Pei Ze was taken aback. ’She’s back from the Turin Plane?’

Snapping back to his senses, Pei Ze immediately told Nymph to show her into the grand hall.

Soon, he was in the hall, where he saw Yin Xue for the first time in a long while.

"Senior, when did you get back from the Turin Plane?" Pei Ze asked with a smile.

Yin Xue smiled warmly at him. "Not long after you advanced," she said. "I had wanted to see you then, but I heard you’d gone to another plane, so I postponed it."

"Oh, and I haven’t congratulated you yet on becoming Chenxi City’s youngest Elemental Mage."

Yin Xue’s words came from a place of genuine admiration.

Even though many days had passed, the shock of Pei Ze’s promotion to Elemental Mage still hadn’t fully worn off.

"Please, Senior, don’t flatter me," Pei Ze said jokingly. "I’ve heard enough of that lately. Any more and my head will get so big I’ll float away."

The title of "Chenxi City’s youngest Elemental Mage" was only possible because there were so few of the Chosen in Chenxi City.

In other Wizard Cities with large populations of the Chosen, while it was rare for someone to become an Elemental Mage at twenty-two or twenty-three, it wasn’t unheard of.

He wasn’t about to get arrogant over such a title.

Perhaps one day, when he broke through to become a Rule Wizard, then he would have a truly meaningful title: the youngest Rule Wizard in Chenxi City, or even the entire Star Realm Alliance.

After they exchanged a few more pleasantries, Yin Xue’s expression turned serious. "I heard from my master that you plan to build a Wizard Tower?"

"That’s right."

"Does that mean you really intend to join the God-Slaying Operation?"

Pei Ze raised an eyebrow, understanding immediately. "You’re going too?" he asked in surprise.
