Alan read the notifications calmly before they disappeared.

"Selene…" Latina repeated softly, looking at the baby girl in her arms.

"It's a good name," Noll said with a nod.

"Marcus…" Fenrir added, glancing at the boy. "Fits."

Marie Rose didn't comment much, but her gaze lingered on the child in her arms for a moment longer.

The others also seemed to accept the names without issue.

"They're officially part of the royal bloodline now," one of the siblings said.

"Of course they are," Fenrir replied. "They were the moment they were born."

Alan stepped closer.

He looked at both children again.

Selene shifted slightly in Latina's arms, her tiny fingers moving faintly.

Marcus remained calm, his breathing steady.

Alan chuckled softly. He could already tell—Selene would grow into a lively girl, while Marcus would be the calm one.

"Both of you have worked hard," he said.

Marie Rose and Latina nodded.

"Do you want to hold them?" they asked.

Alan paused.

He looked at the two small bundles and swallowed.

"What if I drop them?" he said honestly, clearly unsure.

Marie Rose and Latina smiled.

"It isn't that hard," they said, guiding him.

Carefully—

They helped him take Selene first.

Alan's movements were stiff at the beginning, his arms slightly tense.

But once the baby was in his hold, he instinctively adjusted.

Selene moved lightly, her small hand brushing against his finger.

Alan froze for a second.

"…She's warm," he said quietly.

Latina smiled. "Of course she is."

After a moment, Marie Rose gently handed him Marcus as well, adjusting his arms so he could support both properly for a brief time.

Marcus didn't move much, remaining calm even in Alan's hold.

"…This one is already too quiet," Alan muttered.

Fenrir's voice came from the door, where he had quietly returned and leaned against the frame.

"That's better than having two like her," he said, glancing at Selene.

Latina gave him a look. "Say that again."

Fenrir smirked but didn't reply.

Alan ignored them.

His focus remained on the children.

Selene's tiny fingers tightened slightly around his hand.

Marcus's breathing stayed steady, almost as if he didn't care where he was.

Alan slowly relaxed and smiled seeing the two babies in his hands.

Alan slowly relaxed and smiled as he looked at the two babies in his hands.

For a moment, no one spoke.

Then—

"I want to hold them."

Noll was the first to step forward.

"No, wait—me first," another sibling said immediately.

Fenrir scoffed. "You'll probably drop them."

"I won't!"

The room, which had been calm just seconds ago, suddenly became noisy.

Alan looked up, expression flat.

"…One at a time," he said.

But no one listened.

"I'll take the girl."

"No, I said I will!"

"You can take the boy!"

"I don't want the boy, I want Selene!"

Marcus, still in Alan's arm, remained completely calm.

Then—

Selene suddenly began to cry.

Her small body trembled slightly as the noise in the room got louder.

Latina's expression changed instantly.

"Enough."

Her voice wasn't loud—but it carried weight.

The room went quiet for a split second.

Selene's crying didn't stop.

Latina stepped forward and gently took her back, holding her close.

Then—

"Out."

This time, her voice was cold.

No one argued.

Even Fenrir clicked his tongue and stepped back.

One by one, the siblings left the room.

Noll carefully handed Marcus back to Alan before leaving as well.

Soon—

Only Alan, Marie Rose, and Latina remained.

Selene was still crying softly.

Latina adjusted her hold and instinctively wrapped her in a thin layer of blood energy, forming a soft, warm covering around her.

It wasn't harmful—

Just enough to comfort her.

"Shh… it's fine…"

Her voice softened completely now.

The effect was immediate.

Selene's crying gradually slowed.

Then stopped.

Her small body relaxed again.

Alan watched quietly.

"…That works?" he asked.

Latina nodded. "It feels familiar to her."

Marie Rose added calmly, "She reacted to the noise. Nothing unusual."

Alan glanced at the door where everyone had just been thrown out.

"…They'll learn."

Latina didn't reply.

Her attention remained on Selene, who was now calm again, lightly holding onto her.

Marcus, in Alan's arms, remained as he was—

Quiet. Unbothered.

As if nothing had happened at all.

Alan looked at him for a moment, then gently handed him back to Marie Rose.

"Rest," he said simply. "Both of you."

Marie Rose nodded.

Latina adjusted Selene slightly and gave a small nod as well.

Alan didn't stay longer.

He turned and walked out of the room.

Outside, the siblings were still there.

Waiting.

The moment Alan stepped out, several of them looked behind him instinctively.

"Where are they?" one of them asked.

"You didn't bring them out?"

Alan shook his head.

"They're resting."

Noll nodded immediately. "That's better. Newborns should stay with their mothers for now."

Some of the others nodded in agreement.

A few didn't look too happy.

"…We barely got to hold them," one muttered.

"I didn't even get a turn," another added.

Fenrir crossed his arms. "You were too slow."

"That's not the point."

Alan chuckled lightly at their reactions.

"Don't worry," he said. "Let them grow a bit."

He looked at them calmly.

"You'll have plenty of time to play with them later."

That seemed to calm them down.

"…Fine," one of them said.

Noll gave a small smile. "We'll wait."

Fenrir didn't say anything, but he didn't argue either.

The group slowly settled down.

No one argued anymore.

They stayed outside for a while, but the earlier excitement had quieted.

"Let them rest," Noll said. "We can visit later."

A few nodded.

"Yeah… it's better this way."

"Still… I wanted to hold them properly," one muttered again.

Fenrir glanced at him. "You'll get your chance."

Alan looked at all of them.

"For now, go back," he said. "There's nothing more to do here."

They understood.

One by one, they started leaving.

Some walked away casually.

Others turned back once or twice, clearly still thinking about the babies.

Noll was among the last to leave.

"Call us when we can visit again," he said.

"I will," Alan replied.
