Chapter 165: Arrangements
Everyone understood what Xie Changning meant: as the hosts, they would go first.
No one had any objections.
Whatever Xie Changning said, they did.
The team members began to demonstrate their skills one by one. As he watched, the light in Wang Changsheng’s eyes grew brighter and brighter.
He looked at Xie Changning in amazement. "They’re all such promising talents!"
If they were given proper R&D guidance, they could really go far!
Wang Changsheng knew this was the first test Xie Changning had given him since bringing him to the factory.
"But, their skills are quite good and their fundamentals are solid. However... it seems they’ve only been learning these techniques for a short while..." Wang Changsheng’s real strengths lay in design and theory.
He had seen how foreign technicians worked when he was abroad.

Xie Changning nodded slightly. "Not bad. I didn’t expect researcher Wang to have such a keen eye."
Hearing Xie Changning’s words, the anxiety in Wang Changsheng’s heart eased. He knew he had passed the test.
If he had been hesitant and anxious when he first agreed to come with Xie Changning, now, Wang Changsheng was utterly impressed by her.
He no longer wanted to leave the Anong County Machinery Factory.

Xie Changning didn’t offer any further thoughts. She just nodded at Wang Changsheng. "After they’ve demonstrated their skills, you need to show them what you’ve got. Otherwise, they won’t respect you."
Among technicians, skill is what determines respect!

His overall skills might not be on par with theirs, but he didn’t think he was without his own strengths. Especially when it came to soldering small circuit boards, his technique was arguably the best there, and his hands were the steadiest.
Wang Changsheng didn’t hold back. After the others had demonstrated their skills, he stepped forward.
"My skills in other areas might not be as good as yours, but I know a little bit about everything. My best skill is soldering circuit boards..." While speaking, Wang Changsheng put on his glasses and mask and began to solder the smallest circuit board for the group.
His movements weren’t fast, but they were very steady. The placement of the wiring was flawless; his positioning was incredibly precise.
A glimmer of satisfaction flashed in Xie Changning’s eyes.

While Wang Changsheng worked, the other technicians watched intently. They saw that with every movement, there wasn’t the slightest error. The positioning was perfect. It was clear to everyone that this man’s skill was immense.
And indeed, with a brief touch of his small soldering iron, a connection was complete.
The speed was incredible, and the solder joint was exceptionally smooth and clean. The technicians couldn’t help but feel a pang of envy. The Factory Director had gone over this technique with them many times, but they had never mastered it.

The technicians exclaimed.
Everyone agreed that Wang Changsheng’s skill was incredible; they were all completely won over.
This time, without any mediation from Xie Changning, they all acknowledged Wang Changsheng’s skill.
"Researcher Wang is a top student who has studied abroad," Xie Changning said, introducing him to the group. "If you study hard alongside him, you’ll be able to learn a great deal. To become a senior technician, skill alone isn’t enough. You also need a strong grasp of theory and design."
Wang Changsheng would be their mentor in these areas.

There were no private dorm rooms available, but he could arrange for him to stay with a worker who had a small family.
If they were given a small stipend each month, they would be happy to do it.

With all the factory matters arranged, Xie Changning went to her office to tackle the work that awaited her.
