My Arts Evolve When Perfected

Chapter 470 - 414: [Tian Ming] Approaches Unity, the Human Union Thrives, the Dusk Holy Ruins Opens

The difficulty of achieving Unity was terrifying. After all, across the entire Primordial World Cluster, with a population base well over a hundred billion, far too many Low Level races could never produce a Harmonization Realm expert. Some couldn’t even give rise to a Fusion Realm master.

As it was, most who reached the Harmonization Realm did so only after thousands of years of trials, relying on peerless Talent and immense fortune to achieve Unity. The difficulty was plain to see.

Those who achieved Unity in a mere few hundred years were all legends worthy of the history books. Every one of their names was enough to shake the world.

In fact, it was said the legendary Wu had possessed the potential for Unity within a few hundred years, but he had deliberately suppressed his advancement.

But no matter how much he suppressed it, achieving Unity in just a few years would be impossible, right?

How long had Tian Ming been in the Desolate Realm? And he was already preparing for Unity!

Anyone aiming for Unity had, by definition, already reached the Half-Step Unity Realm. In that case, Tian Ming’s Talent was truly unparalleled in this era. Forget this era; even the legendary Wu might not have been able to compare.

What was most astonishing, however, was that Tian Ming was apparently attempting Unity by relying on the void. This meant he had no need for vast amounts of conventional resources, instead using the infinite void itself to advance his Realm. That must be the true source of his confidence!

One must understand that every powerful Harmonization Realm expert required innumerable resources to cultivate. A major race of the Desolate Realm like the Soul Race couldn’t produce a single Harmonization Realm expert even by pooling their entire race’s resources. This was a critical reason why they had none.

So, how could Tian Ming, who was all alone, possibly possess such vast resources? The reason for his constant progress was the void!

He normally cultivated within the void, and his power would simply rise on its own. As for his specific methods, no one could say, because the void was a Restricted Area for even the most powerful experts.

Another crucial detail was that Tian Ming supposedly returned frequently to the Northern Boundary on Blue Star.

The Northern Boundary was a peculiar place, having produced many geniuses. Celestial Star, however, had never been. To the Blue Star Human Union, it was a core territory.

Geniuses of all kinds were brought out from the Northern Boundary. After being certified by the Human Union, they too would come to the Desolate Realm to grow, where he, Celestial Star, was responsible for looking after them on behalf of the Three-Life Race.

Of course, these new arrivals wouldn’t have to make a name for themselves through challenges in the Celestial Star Arena as Tian Ming had. Jiang Qiu and Tian Ming had already established all the reputation they needed. These newcomers just had to come and acclimate themselves to the rules of the Primordial World Cluster.

Now, many prodigies from the Human Race were stationed in the Desolate Realm, expanding their commercial interests while simultaneously focusing on their cultivation and progress.

Speaking of which, there was an interesting story. In a remote part of the Desolate Realm, there was a place called Little Oasis City No. 777, which was actually territory governed by a human City Lord. What’s more, this human City Lord had a daughter with impressive cultivation Talent who had now officially crossed the threshold into the ranks of the nobility.

As for how such a unique Little Oasis City was discovered, it was thanks to the group of humans from Blue Star. When they first arrived, Celestial Star had, for Jiang Qiu’s sake and in light of Tian Ming’s rising status, specially arranged for them to use several Oasis Cities free of charge to get started.

While scouting locations, they happened to discover that Oasis City No. 777 was, astonishingly, led by a human—a rare occurrence indeed. They made contact and, surprisingly, chose to establish their commercial operations there.

Oasis City No. 777 was extremely remote, barely a blip on the map and not worth a second glance under normal circumstances. However, Zhu Weiyi of the Human Union argued that small places have their own unique potential, and that it’s sometimes best to start from the ground up.

Besides, the City Lord himself was human. Even if he wasn’t from their world, he was still of the Human Race, which fostered a sense of kinship. And so, commerce in Little Oasis City No. 777 was established. The Three-Life Race helped the Human Union get things started, and the former Celestial Star Shop was renamed the Human Union Shop.

When the City Lord heard the news, he was supposedly so emotional he nearly wept. Furthermore, his talented daughter was chosen by Grandmaster Zhu Weiyi of the Human Union to be his personal disciple, officially setting her upon the path of cultivation.

This daughter, it seemed, had even had a fateful encounter with Jiang Qiu himself in the past. Her fortune was truly astounding. As a result, the entire Little Oasis City No. 777 began to soar.

But this was actually the smallest of dozens of Oasis Cities where the Human Union managed its commerce. The Human Union later expanded to hundreds of such cities, opening up transportation routes between them until the desert roads spread like a spiderweb.

One had to admit, the people of the Human Union were always doing astonishing things. They had transformed the once-isolated Oasis Cities into a massive web. This impacted a large number of nobles, while the native Human Race received education and even opportunities for cultivation. They learned Martial Arts in so-called "academies" and then put their skills to use for the Human Union.

As a result, many nobles voiced their dissatisfaction with the Human Union, but they didn’t dare take any action, forcing themselves to endure it. Those who couldn’t hold back were... dealt with.

In the cities now controlled by the Human Union, the status of the Human Race had soared, and the local nobility was easily suppressed. While there were major noble factions that the Human Union couldn’t yet challenge, the Union simply avoided the regions where these powers were active, focusing its efforts on the small and medium-sized Oasis Cities.

And so, the Human Union continued to flourish, developing exceptionally well.

Celestial Star witnessed all of this and provided no small amount of aid. Perhaps in the past, he had merely wanted to curry favor with the impossibly mysterious Jiang Qiu, but now, in the activities of the Human Race, he saw a surging potential.

This race, one that was born weak in almost any world it found itself in, was now cultivating a terrifying Life Force, as if confirming some of the distant legends about humanity.

’All in all, investing in the Human Race isn’t a losing bet,’ he mused. ’I am a Peak of Unity Realm expert from the Three-Life Race, one of the Peak Races. If I want to protect the Human Race, who would dare to challenge them?’

Besides, the Three-Life Race had taken note of Jiang Qiu’s and Tian Ming’s accomplishments. These were two peerless prodigies with the potential to become supremely powerful experts in the Harmonization Realm. This was the kind of potential seen in major races from a Great Realm; associating with them was in no way a loss of status.

’If it turns out that Jiang Qiu and his successor, Tian Ming, are both generational, peerless prodigies, the Three-Life Race’s status in the Primordial World Cluster might rise another level. Perhaps we could even rank at the very top among all the Peak Races.’

’After all, the emergence of Wu back then caused several Peak Races and top-tier Great Realms to suffer losses, and that was the power of just one man.’

At this thought, Celestial Star found himself hoping even more for the Human Race’s rise. He checked on a few final matters regarding Tian Ming, then began his final rest before entering the Dusk Holy Ruins.

The number of Dusk Tokens distributed throughout the entire Primordial World Cluster for the Dusk Holy Ruins was estimated to be no more than one hundred thousand. This was not a large number at all.

The Primordial World Cluster is infinitely vast, containing an infinite number of worlds. Even a Harmonization Realm expert could not traverse its entirety in a single lifetime, as pioneers are constantly discovering new realms.

And a Harmonization Realm expert can live for twenty thousand years!

Furthermore, no matter how powerful a Harmonization Realm expert’s Space-Time Travel ability was, it was impossible to cross a Primordial World Cluster that contained myriad upon myriad of races. One hundred thousand Dusk Tokens, scattered across such a space, was like searching for a needle in a haystack.

’Fortunately, however, I still managed to get one!’

Possessing a Dusk Token was like holding the key to the Dusk Holy Ruins, a chance to glimpse the legacies of the previous epoch. Among them were peak Divine Artifacts and even the legendary Secret of Transcendence...

VMMMM—

A strange ripple of space-time erupted. The Dusk Token that Celestial Star had stored in his personal dimension leaped out of its own accord. A white Holy Light enveloped him, and his figure vanished within it.

The Dusk Holy Ruins had opened.
