Chapter 413 - 386: Rebirth of an Era, Legend of the New Ancestor, [Celestial Star] Shows Goodwill
The void is a borderland where Laws do not exist, a peripheral zone between worlds. To travel from one world to another, one must almost always preset the desired coordinates and then engage in Space-Time Travel.
To most Cultivators, the void appears as a deep tunnel, not a boundless, starry expanse.
Even someone at the Harmonization Realm like Celestial Star was incapable of traversing extreme distances. He rarely crossed through space and time, as doing so consumed an unreasonable amount of mental energy and Spirit Charm.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t be in the Desolate Realm using special communication methods to contact his subordinates. While traveling directly to Blue Star would be faster, it would also consume a great deal of his reserves, requiring a period of recuperation to fully recover.
At the Harmonization Realm, one’s every move is tied to the Laws. It is best to avoid acting personally unless absolutely necessary, lest it trigger a catastrophe with world-shattering consequences.
And yet, despite knowing full well how difficult it was to traverse the void—a journey he himself hadn’t personally undertaken in a very long time—a young man had just appeared before him, looking as fresh and composed as if he’d just stepped out of his own home. "Excuse me, are you Senior Celestial Star?"
HISS... Celestial Star drew a sharp breath, studying the young man for a long moment. "What’s your name?"
"Tian Ming."
Tian Ming’s reply was curt and unpretentious. The moment he stepped into this place, he had instinctively sensed its difference. Overwhelmingly powerful auras permeated every inch of it.
In fact, there were so many zones of influence that were simply beyond his ability to probe; to his current self, they were like one black hole after another. It made him feel utterly insignificant, like a single speck of dust among millions.
Of course, his inability to perceive the Realms of others was purely because he had just entered the Fusion Realm. Compared to other Fusion Realm cultivators with more experience, he was simply lacking in certain techniques.
In truth, once he grew accustomed to his strength at the Fusion Realm, many things would become clear.
"Mm, I hear you wish to participate in the challenge tournament?"
Celestial Star feigned composure, his voice calm and unhurried. The imposing aura of a supreme expert of the Harmonization Realm naturally radiated from him.
It put considerable pressure on Tian Ming, who sighed internally. ’I still have such a long way to go. The world outside is vast... I wonder how long it will take to catch up to the New Ancestor’s footsteps.’
He assumed that just anyone out in the world could exude an oppressive aura like Celestial Star’s—a pressure that felt like it came from someone a whole major Realm above him, like the vast blue sky looking down upon the earth.
In reality, Celestial Star was one of the absolute strongest beings in the entire Desolate Realm; he just happened to be approachable and disliked going into seclusion.
For now, Tian Ming knew very little about the Outer Realm. He had no idea where he was, only that some captain at the Fusion Realm had told him to come to the Desolate Realm. Following a single coordinate the man had shared, he had crossed over in a single step.
It was his first time truly touching the void, yet it felt as simple as walking into his own living room. He merely had to point a finger to know which direction to go, and by following his instincts, he arrived in the Desolate Realm and encountered Celestial Star.
The Spirit Charm here was as dense as in some of the Grotto Heaven Blessed Lands in the Northern Boundary. Experts were as common as clouds; the auras of various Fusion Realm powerhouses saturated the air. Those at the Dao Entry Realm were as numerous as ants, and those at the Peeping Dao Realm were simply countless. What’s more, every single person in the vicinity was a Cultivator—there were no ordinary people!
Of course, their appearances were all vastly different, too. He couldn’t spot a single member of the Human Race nearby; he was one of a kind here. ’Is it because the Human Race doesn’t exist in the Outer Realm?’
At this thought, Tian Ming clenched his fists. He gave a slight bow, his gaze burning with intensity. "Yes, I want to participate in the challenge tournament. I hope to follow in the New Ancestor’s footsteps and spread the glory of the Human Race!"
He had lived through the era of the War of the Chosen and the liberation of the Northern Boundary. He understood that everything Jiang Qiu had done was to unite the Human Race, to stand against the Demon Race, and to ensure the Human Race could grow strong and resilient.
’Wasn’t the creed passed down through North Snow all for the sake of preserving the Human Race’s bloodline?’
As a reclusive genius who had walked a smooth path his entire life, his thoughts were remarkably pure. He simply wanted to do what a peerless prodigy should: let his own brilliance shine upon the Outer Realm, follow in the New Ancestor’s footsteps, and plant the flag of the Human Race in the Desolate Realm.
Of course, he kept these thoughts buried in his heart, unsaid. His actions would prove his abilities.
"New Ancestor?" Celestial Star was a little curious. "Who’s that?"
’From the reports my subordinates sent back, the Blue Star Human Race isn’t some great clan with a tens-of-thousands-of-years-long legacy, is it? It seems they only entered their era of Cultivation a little over a century ago. How could they have a "New Ancestor"?’
’Don’t tell me they have some hidden, deeper story!’
At this thought, Celestial Star’s blood began to run hot with intrigue.
"New Ancestor Jiang Qiu. He once led our tribe to rebirth and pioneered a new era in my Ancestral Realm..."
In response to Celestial Star’s curiosity, Tian Ming held nothing back, recounting everything he knew about Jiang Qiu’s deeds. His telling wasn’t overly detailed, however; it was more like reciting an epic chronicle.
Combined with his fervent gaze, he seemed like a devout believer looking up to praise the brilliance of Polaris. For a moment, his words captivated Celestial Star. "Jiang Qiu came from a tribal era?!"
He was inwardly shaken as a completely new backstory began to form in his mind. A primitive tribal era was a sign of backwardness, but sometimes, backwardness also implied an ancient heritage—one that had simply failed to protect its former glory.
