My Arts Evolve When Perfected

The Cultivation session with Snow was relatively short. After a couple of hours, it was time for dinner. When he let go of her hand, Jiang Qiu clearly felt her small hand tremble, and the brilliant light in her eyes dimmed, as if she were a bit... disappointed?

’She likes Cultivation this much? Not bad. She’s a promising talent.’

At this thought, Jiang Qiu felt quite pleased. He followed Snow and received two dinners from a servant in charge of delivering meals, but...

"How are you supposed to eat this?"

Staring at the yellow, gold-patterned stick of Fragrance in his hand, which was as thick as a candle, Jiang Qiu gave it a tentative shake. He felt it looked even more like something used for ancestral worship during special holidays on Blue Star. But this thing was very thick, and it also resembled a specially made candle.

The craftsmanship didn’t seem half-bad, with its carved gold patterns, and it emitted a light, fresh scent.

And it was this very scent that was captivating. His newly reborn, youthful body couldn’t help but twitch its nose and lean in closer to sniff it. So fragrant.

"There’s some lighting powder here."

Snow was also holding a large stick of Fragrance in her left hand, as thick as a big red candle. She swallowed hard, forcibly suppressing the desire in her heart. With the fingertips of her right hand, she pinched a bit of the special black powder from the tray that held the Fragrance.

She pressed her index finger and thumb together, brought them to the wick at the tip of the Fragrance stick, and with a SNAP, slid them apart. A black flame shot up from between her fingers, instantly lighting the Fragrance.

With that, a faint, golden-yellow gas drifted into the air, and the special, soul-stirring aroma was released like a bursting dam.

She took a deep, sharp inhale.

Unable to hold back any longer, Snow’s mask quietly drew closer, and all of the faint, golden-yellow gas seeped into her mask, where it was absorbed through her nostrils.

An unprecedented feeling of luxury!

Before, she had only ever absorbed that inferior, acrid black smoke. The flavor was always monotonous, stiff and artificial, truly like the smell of a burning candle.

But this golden Fragrance was different. Its flavor was just too exquisite. ’Maybe even the Transcenders of the Yang Realm only get to absorb a flavor like this?’

’Is this the kind of treatment I get for following Senior Brother Bai Mo? He’s Elder Bell Fish’s sole direct disciple and a genius born from the Yin Yang Summoned Life. I’m getting to absorb Fragrance that not even Elite Disciples can get!’

"Is it really that good?"

Seeing Snow’s look of intoxicated delight, Jiang Qiu raised an eyebrow. He also tried rubbing a bit of the black powder between his fingertips and, with a SNAP, sure enough, a black flame ignited the Fragrance.

The rich aroma instantly washed over his face, permeating his entire body. His mental state reached its peak, an unprecedented feeling of comfort.

And as he took in the aroma, his body automatically began the Refinement of the special energy contained within it. ’It can even nourish the Soul?’

It even resonated with the fragrance inside Snow’s body, and the nurturing bond between them grew even closer!

Taking a deep whiff, Jiang Qiu remarked with narrowed eyes, "Interesting. So the Food in the Yin Yang Great Realm can actually nourish the Soul."

The Soul could be called the most complex thing in existence. It is one of the greatest proofs of a living being’s existence, and a fundamental component with as much infinite potential as one’s physical body and bloodline.

Among the many Secret Realms on Blue Star, very few produced Treasures of Heaven and Earth related to the Soul. And back in the ancient era of the Celestial Profound Great Realm, any treasure linked to the Soul would have been snatched up by the major powers!

’I never would have thought that the Hundred Ghosts Sect, located in Sunset City within this Yin Yang Great Realm, would actually give its disciples such a fine thing to absorb.’

Taking another deep whiff, Jiang Qiu asked, "This stuff is Food?"

"It is. This golden Fragrance is the best Food. This is my first time eating it, too. I heard that even the Elders eat this kind of Fragrance. It’s very precious."

Snow replied, then hugged the Fragrance stick and sniffed at it from even closer.

"Does everyone eat Fragrance?"

"Yes. If we don’t eat Fragrance, we’ll starve to death."

The two of them chatted as they "ate" the Fragrance, and time passed without them noticing. When the Fragrance stick had completely burned down, the jade wall in the bedroom began to emit a misty blue light.

His mind was at its peak, and Jiang Qiu wanted to take a bath. Soon, Snow led him to a dedicated bathing pool. Steam drifted from the water’s surface, and pink flower petals were scattered upon it.

"There’s a bathing pool? Just for me?"

Stepping barefoot onto the Jade tiles of the bathroom floor, a cool sensation spread up from the soles of his feet. Jiang Qiu felt a sense of relief.

’The treatment here is pretty good. Although the environment and atmosphere are bizarre and defy all common sense and understanding, if I can soak in a bath, I can at least relax a little.’

"Don’t look." In a moment of distraction, Jiang Qiu’s pants had already been pulled down. He hurriedly grabbed Snow’s pale wrist, his tone serious. "We’re not supposed to be the same."

This grasp made Snow shudder in fright. Her delicate body shrank back, like a little white mouse caught by a cat.

Jiang Qiu furrowed his brow, at a loss for how to explain it to her.

But when those small hands grabbed his pants, he snapped back to his senses.

’They may not distinguish between sexes, but their physical structures are still different!’

"Forget it. I’ll bathe by myself. You can go out first."

Sighing, Jiang Qiu released his hand. He hoped the girl, who only came up to his armpits, would leave the bathing pool, to avoid being seen completely naked and then have her suddenly ask, ’Senior Brother Bai Mo, why is that part of you sticking up?’

After absorbing the Fragrance, his mind was overly stimulated. Suddenly thinking about all this, a rush of hot blood poured down from his Skull, like water from a hot spring.

Jiang Qiu took a deep breath, suppressing the strange desire that had inexplicably surged in his heart. It seemed to be a yearning to complete his original form, but it also secretly harbored another kind of desire, one born from his Human Race instincts.

’The truth is, being in the Yin Realm, the yin energy is already heavy. I just wanted to take a bath and let off some steam...’

But Snow lowered her head dejectedly, her fingertips clutching the corner of her clothes, and pleaded in a small, tearful voice, "Senior Brother Bai Mo, I’m really good at bathing people.
